I'll give you as much info as I can and if you have any questions do hesitate to contact me.

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo? Treehouse Gift & Home
Browse Relax Enjoy

What type of product or service do you offer? retail gift/home accent store. Brick & mortag and web retailer.

How long have you been in business? 9 years

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity? more energy, fun & whymsical. We are moving into a bit more upscale products but our core products are still country decor.

What are your long term goals? increase sales, stay the leader in our area

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? April 21

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience. Women 35-55, casual, fun loving. Definitely not high maintenance, snooty high society. More Outback customer than Ruth Chris.

Who would you like to add to your audience? the youthful empty nester who wants the latest and greatest. When they give a gift it matters where the gift came from.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines: we have used 'treehouse' in differnet arched styles over the years. Treehouse needs to be the main statement w/gift & home the secondary message. We also have a preference for something that involves an oval.
What type of logo would you like? looking for one to use on cards, letterheads, labels, seals, website. Something that we will brand to our store over the years.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
We are open, but the color pallet must be nature colors, no brite 20 something mall crud. Hunter green has always been our color. Our packaging is hunter green gingham check and we have branded this over the past 9 years.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? stars would be good. take a look at our website to see current logo that needs a refreshning. www.treehousegiftandhome.com

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? we want a simple one that states name & slogan & possibly website and another that would have our address & phone # listed.

What is your tagline or slogan? we have 2. browse relax enjoy and 'whoever said money can't buy happiness didn't know where to shop!'

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? casual, quality, unique product mix, fun place to relax and shop

Where will your new logo be used? already stated above

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos? truthfully, our top 4 competitors have closed within the past 18 months. The Amish Store, still has one location in Rochester, MN, has a great logo that did a great job of encapsulating what they are. Heart's Desire of Winona, MN used to have a local store but it closed recently, their logo was solid. Ivy & Lac in Onalaska, WI has a good logo b/c it is soft and foofoo and that is what she sells.

List competitive URLs if possible
www.contemporaryamish.com
www.coachhousegifts.com
www.countryhouse.com

What sets you apart from your competitors? size, variety, customer service, free standing location, we do a lot of marketing

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company: special

Sorry, but not all what I'm thinking. Not classy enough, don't worry so much about what our current design is.

I know we just had an extended holiday weekend but I need to know if anyone is intereted in designing our new logo. If not that's fine I can look elsewhere.

Sorry, looks like a dog house. Our slogan will change before our name ever does so lets focus on the name and leave the slogan out for the time being.

We like the whymsical nature of the last one, but not the crows. Would also like Treehouse to be more prominent and use "&" instead of "and".

Keep them coming, there is too much talent on this board to not come with a desing that is unique, innovative and practical.

Blesseville, the tree is too dominant and Treehousee is too small. As is it looks like a seal for a nature place. Try it in an oval instead of circle, an oval just seems softer to us.

Jon,
The text you have Treehouse in is too gothic looking. Color scheme definately isn't us but we can work on that easy enough. The tree is quite predominant, are able to put it more in the background dropped the name?

Thank you all for the submissions I think we are getting closer in concept.

Pracus,
We like the text style, but not the tree. Somewhere in between your tree and that of relevant studio's. Try the tree coming out of the H.

With the more ideas that we get from you all the more we are looking at other companies logos. Saw one yesterday that encompassed our store pretty well. It was a tree that had the branches wrap around the the name of the store. The trunk was on the bottom and ivy like branches went along the bottom and up the side. It is almost more of a folk art look, but it was classy yet fun.

Any more interest? Seems everyone jumped off after the first go round. This new logo will be ushered in with major changes in product to our brick & mortar store and web store, so the design is quite important.

We appreciate all of your enteries and we need to keep the ideas coming as our new website is getting closer and we have broke ground on our store addition.

Pracus, similar to what I'm thinking. Can you soften the tree, it kind of looks demonish. Smaller trunk, smaller branches on the sides and the leaves on both sides.

Pracus it is still looking like a crab to us. Try arching TREEHOUSE to make it more compact so the tree doesn't have to be so wide.

Paula way to go with your first design, to the top with your first design. Thanks for entering. Can we change the colors on the second version. Leaves in more of a olive/sage color and Treehouse in a deeper red.

Thanks

Paula, can you give us some more color options. A little lighter on the leaves and some different combinaitons for the text. As it is now 'Gift & Home' really blends in. We are close, just need get the appropriate colors.

Paula, you make it tough as we like certain aspects from A,B&C.

On version C; a deeper burgundy for Treehouse and a little lighter brown for the tree trunk & limbs.

Version A; Tree limbs a little lighter and lets try Treehouse in PMS582 and Gift & Home in PMS1805.

Thanks

On option B change tree trunk to PMS730.
And give us some different options of a truer green on the leaves and if 'Gift & Home' able to increased at all in size. We like Treehouse in the deep burgundy so keep that color.
