We are a smaller company which gives us advantages in knowing customers better/more intimately. We help our customers grow their business, and are in business to work with customers for the long haul building relationships. Competitors have “order takers” not as many relationships there.

B2B – Looking to reach wholesalers
Looking to reach out the SMB (small/medium business) – “mom and pop” shops
1h) What advantages do you expect this project to bring you?
We are looking for an update to the website look/feel to make things easier to navigate, shop, and overall have a better online shopping experience. We also need a new design to work with our updated logo.

We Like Blue. NOT Red, nothing too brown or black either. We want it to look complimentary to the new logo as well.

Home, View Cart, Login, Account Info, Help, Contact, Sitemap.
These may change with an update/manipulation of data that is also planned for this project.
2f) What is the single most desired action for a visitor to take while at your website? (e.g. call a phone number, fill out a form, sign up for a mailing list, make a purchase, request a free report, choose your company over a competitor, etc.)
Current Wholesalers – make a purchase and choose JBD over competitors.
New Wholesalers – get good information about JBD, request an account, choose JBD over competitors
2g) Would you like Flash elements? What are the Flash elements (e.g.: intro, header/banner, menu etc.) that you want in your website? Please describe them.
We want the site to be non intimidating and simple to navigate since our focus is on customer service and building relationships.

We don’t want the site to look too fussy. We don’t like the idea of textured background or too much color in the background. While we want some color, we know white space sells.

I believe that a lot of websites try to catch the users eye with too much info at the welcome pages. Instead it does the opposite.
