I need my business card redone, and letterhead and envelope created. Deadline is 4/24/07.
I have attached my current biz card (double) as well as my tagline, Go2Gal Girl/Logo, and Biz name.
I need to stick with the current colors (but more vibrant is okay) so they match my website (www.mygo2gal.com). My website is currently void of content, but the site is up and running.
I am open to a different font for the text of tagline, etc. but would like to see the biz name stay with the current font (unless you come up with something better).
Don't like the stars anymore and the back of the biz card doesn't have to have the extra color on it (I prefer it didn't).
You will note that the current biz card is void of the "LLC" which needs to be added and the new address info, etc. is as follows:
phone and fax are still the same: 877-8GO-2GAL
Website is still: www.mygo2gal.com
Address is: PO Box 2229, Bothell, WA 98041
Would like to see my email address on stuff: Laurie @mygo2gal.com.
I am still the owner (Laurie Folino), but would like to use the term Personal Assistant instead of Owner.
I would like the tagline on all products if possible (let's keep the envelope to one color).
I also need to incorporate some of the sevices I provide on the biz card as most people are still getting familiar with the idea of an errand running/concierge service. I am not sure what all you will be able to include but here is an idea of what I do.
Services include, but not limited to:
Pick-up or deliver dry cleaning, prescriptions, lunch, supplies or anything else
Shop for groceries, gifts, etc.
Wait for service repair people
Housesitting, gift wrapping and merchandise returns
Running errands of all kinds
I would also like to somehow incorporate the actual numbers in the vanity phone number as well. They are 877-846-2425.
Doesn't look like the tagline is a good file? My tagline is:
Need Your To-Do List Done? Go 2 us.
Thanks.
Laurie
So my main concerns are that the stationary package be more exciting and that we get across what I do on my biz card.
Thanks and I am excited to see what you all come up with. Let me know if you need anything else.

Hi Laurie,
I like your tag line 'Need Your To-Do List Done? Go 2 us'.
Start from it as based for my design.
I usually use small ruled notes to check my to-do list. So I use that as part of the design element.
Also still use your previous color because its really unique.
At backside, I put your main services in shortlist to give people idea what is the services you provide.
This is the business card design. Left is frontside. And at right is backside.

Still based from the main concept, and these are the letterheads and envelope.
Any comments would be appreciated.

LutFi -
Thanks for getting us started. I appreciate it. Okay so I really like the ruled note pad - clever. I like the concept. This is looking good...
The LLC does need to be included as a part of the name of my biz.
It is feeling too pink. Would love to see the pink turn into white - nice and crisp.
The envelope can be more simple. Name and address and then the tagline maybe in the lower left hand corner. I think we can leave off the gal on the envelope.
Overall I am liking the concept and liked that you stayed with my colors which I love. My main thing is that I don't feel like the descriptions are detailed enough. I understand where you were coming from, but I am feeling like that is the most important part of this project. The errand running biz is a fairly new concept still that people are still trying to undertand all that we do and somehow I need to convey that on my biz card with specifics/examples. For example, people might assume that pick-up and delivery means transportation of people and I don't provide that. I am just wanting to be more detailed here as much as possible.
Thanks so much!

Hi Laurie,
Thank you for your feed back.
This is revision based on your suggestion:
• add LLC on the logo.
• change the pink background to white.
• envelope is simpler.
• detailed descriptions.
Thanks
LutFi.

And this is revised Envelope and Letterhead.
• envelope simpler design, white background. (can be change to one color easily for envelope).
• Letterhead background into white.
• All logo using LLC.
Thanks.

LutFi,
Thanks for the revisions. I like that the descriptions are on the card. Like the white background. Envelope simple - good. Overall it looks good. Now that I look at the letterhead again it looks too simple. Can you center the biz name and make it bigger - so it stands out at the top of the page (doesn't have to be huge). Go2Gal seems missed placed to me in the corner, but don't have any suggestions. Sorry this is a little vague.
Thanks for the revisions.

Hi Laurie, Thanks for your feedback.
In this version, we centered the biz name and make it little bit bigger. Based on your suggestions.
Also I see in brief that you mention about one color for the envelope, this is sample of it.
Thanks.

nhr - First off thank you for your entry. I appreciate it. I really like how you associated the go2gal on the back of the card with the services and I like that you got all the services on the card. I love that you used my existing colors.
I like the sophistication of the card, but feels like there is too much dark purple. Purple is my favorite color, but the dark purple seems overwhelming here and it distracts me from the information on the card. I like white space. Not sure I like the My Go2Gal, LLC over the blue on the top. But that might be because of all the purple? I'd like to see something other than the black ink for text.
The service text lines look wavey? Not sure if that was planned or because it is a proof. Don't like it wavey.
Thanks!!
Laurie

Fran - thanks for your entry. I really appreciate it. I really like the biz card and envelope. Like the use of color. The word Bothell needs to be on the same line as WA 98041.
Regarding the letterhead can you try to balance the space of the page so that all the information isn't on the right side. Thanks.

Hi Laurie, Thank you for your feedback.
This is the revisions based on your suggestion.
• Remove all the checkmarks on the front. I also suggest the text alignment will be centered.
• This is biz card in normal size.

As far as the envelope I like the one in message #13 that is all one color, but can you pls put it in the upper left hand corner instead of the lower one and remove the comma after the 2229.
As far as the letterhead....can you do something more like the designer in message #25. Of course I am not asking you to copy it, but I like that it is simple and all on the top of the page. I don't think I need to have the girl on the letterhead like I originally thought.
Biz cards: Like the front on the card. As far as the back of the card....Can we switch places with the tagline and the CALL: So that we are asking the question thru the tagline and then telling them to call and maybe use Call us today @ and then the tellphone #. Thanks!!!
I am also thinking I might have you do a second back of biz card for me that would have different text because I am also working with real estate agents. How much more would you charge me to do a second back for my biz card that would have different text? let me know pls.
Thanks!

Hi LutFi,
Can you go back to centering the text on the front of the biz card like you originally suggested. What font is the text? On the back of the biz card can you pls remove the check mark before the word CALL and can you remove the Semi Collon and center the CALL and phone # under my tagline so that it is off center like the tagline. Thanks.

LutFi - Is there a way to put the gal on the front of the biz card and that would mean removing the tagline from the front of the card. Kind of like the designer who did the number 2 on the letterhead. I don't know what to call this? Is it transparent??? - Where the gal would be large on the front of the biz card and then the text would be written on top of her? Or that might look dumb? If there was a way for the gal to be on the front of the card so she could be bigger and grab your attention instead of having her smaller on the back of the card. Is this something you could try for me. I liked how big the gal was when you originally did the back of biz card, but then I made you make her smaller to get all that text in on the back of the card.

Hi Laurie
5A is your first request. Center Text on front side. Remove check mark and semicolon, also center text for call & phone on back.
5B is your second request. Add transparent girl and remove the tag in front.
I suggest the tag line bigger on back side like this one.
Agreed with you. If girl on the front we should remove the tag line in front.
I don't feel transparent girl look dumb. You can see it for your considerations.
My other suggestions also for your considerations:
5C is solid girl in front with text left alignment.
5D is solid girl in front with text center alignment.
----------------
Font use in Text: Adobe Caslon Pro Regular (all text on front side). Semibold (all text services on backside). Bold (front name, back call, phone#).
Thank you

Hi LutFi - 5B is the winner. I am loving this one! Can you try this on the letterhead and then put the address and phone #, etc. at the bottom of the page.
Could you try another font for the text? i am not crazy about the font for the text. I like something more plain jane if that makes sense. It would be helpful to see the biz card in a different font. Thanks. We are getting very close.

Hi Laurie,
There are so many "plain jane" font.
And designers have different eye perspective to categorized that.
I'm definitely not recommend the Courier font (one like typewriter).
These are my suggestions, I like to called them "clean & elegant" font.
5B1 font Arial Narrow
5B2 font Frutiger
5B3 font VagRounded
lauriefolino
05-18-2007, 01:20 AM
5B3 is the winner with the same gal intensity as 5B1 (I assume the gal is not as dark in 5B3 as in 5B1 because it was a copy). Thanks for the extra font types. Yes, your description of fonts was perfect.

Thank you Laurie,
You know, we are here also have same taste with your choices :)
The girl in 5B1 and 5B3 are same.
I'm not change the girl at all.
Yes it was because of the copy.
5B1 Arial Narrow have thinner character than 5B3 VagRounded.
So the whole image look different.
There are color optical effect when we use different font over color image.
Now I can made the letterhead revision with the same font and based on your suggestions.
Thank you.

Hi Laurie,
This is revision for the letterhead and envelope.
We make all text font (address, etc) same with Businesscard 5B3 font VagRounded.
Also tried to use the girl in letterhead just like your suggestion.
I put text sample in letterhead, to give you visual references when you put text on it in.
Text margin from left and right edge is 1 inch. So the effective text space ± 6.5 inch.
Thank you

LutFi -
This is looking really great! I really like the gal on the letterhead. I really do like how this is coming together!
Just a couple more things please.
Lets take away the checkmarks on the address, phone # and website address on the envelope and letterhead.
Do you think the biz name on letterhead should be a little smaller?
I am a little concerned that with the three different new font types you gave me on the bizcards that the one I chose seems like the lightest colored font? It is going to printout a lot better, correct? I am most concerned about the text on the back that is my job description.
Thanks!

Hi Laurie
In this version we move all checkmark on letterhead and envelope.
Yes I really agree with you, the biz name on letterhead is should be smaller, so in this version I make the biz name smaller but still keep the balance with the girl.
About your concern regarding the font on business card.
All font are using same exact color.
And yes your choice is 5B3 VagRounded is going to printout a lot better than this.
