Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS) is a non-profit, volunteer-run animal welfare organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals in our community and beyond. Founded in 1974, DAWS provides shelter and care to animals in need, offers adoption counseling to place our animals in loving, forever homes, promotes responsible pet guardianship and the humane treatment of animals, and works toward ending animal overpopulation through education, spay/neuter, and trap, neuter and return programs. Additional information can be found on our website at daws.org.
We are in the process of updating the organization's logo. The new logo should convey a sense of dedication, compassion, community, caring, devotion and progress. The composition should be simple, clean and polished looking. The focus of the logo should be on the name – “Danbury Animal Welfare Society” - and, if feasible for the design, incorporate the acronym "DAWS" into the logo, although this is not required. The logo should contain visual representations of a dog and a cat with a warm and friendly, but not cutsie look. A simple rendition of the animals (for example a line drawing) is preferred to a super realistic portrayal. Pawprints may also be incorporated, but are not required.
We would like to incorporate the tagline "Making a Difference One Animal at a Time", but the logo should be able to stand on its own as well.
The logo should be in color (we are open to suggestions!), but should also be usable in black and white.
