Hi

I need a logo for a new podcast show that I'm producing, the show features interviews with inspirational business people from the north west of England and beyond

The logo needs to have a main element: NorthWestBizPod
and a subheadline: The northwest business podcast

The logo will be used as a banner on a 'TypePad' blog (not sure what file type and size I'll need here?) and also on the usual headed letter paper and promotional material where I know I can use a JPEG file.

I'd like the logo to be contemporary, clean, and simple. I like the idea of split colour i.e. NorthWestBiz in one colour and Pod in another - but it's not essential

Cheers

Jon

This is a new podcast show - no history.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
I want to have really professional and unique look and feel to my blog and stationery - I don't want a home made feel!

Contemporary, simple and clean.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
No colour preference. I Quite like the idea of different words in different colours e.g. NorthWestBiz in blue and Pod in Red (just an example) - but I'm really flexible and would like to leave the brief open.

Hi All

Firstly, apologies for my delay in feeding back comments to you all, I've been on vacation in Washington DC and would recommend a visit to everyone!

Thanks so much to all the designers that have submitted ideas - they're great.

The winning design is from Jennifer at BlueCherry Graphics, really loved the style, colour and icon - I think it's almost there I'd like to make a few minor adjustments and guess I can do that in the Revisions Forum.

Logohilok - many thanks, I liked your design very much, but it wasn'y quite as funky as BlueCherry's.

Pracus - many thanks to you too, I wasn't really keen on the map icon, a bit too straight for me.

This is the first time I've used this site and am really impressed with the quality and speed of delivery - I'll definitely be recommending it to others.

Jennifer I guess we'll be catching up in the Revision Forum.

Thanks all again.

Cheers

Jon :)

Hi Jennifer

Can you please tweak the following:

1. Can you do a version where we add .co.uk after BizPod - would it work in orange? What size?

2. I really like the icon, nice idea of the north west corner of the square, but that corner does look a little bit too much like a rotated RSS feed button because of the white curves and orange colour - maybe that's just me?!? Can you maybe adjust it so it looks less like an RSS button, perhaps show different colour and curve options for that north west corner?

3. Can you also add the tag line 'The local business podcast'

Many thanks.

Hi Jennifer

How are the revisions going?

Can you let me know when I might see a new proof.

Many thanks.

Hi,

Missed the notification on the change request.

Let's get the basic design set first, then we'll add tagline and the UK version.

Here's another idea emphasizing the nw corner, not quite so RSS looking.

Hi Jennifer

Interesting, but it doesn't really work for me - I think I prefer the first design where the other 3/4 of the icon is in orange rather than grey, it's more impactful!

Thanks for the alternative idea, but let's stick with the original design and see how it looks with .co.uk and tagline.

Thanks

Hi Jennifer

Thanks for the latest revisions.

The version without the .co.uk works perfectly, not so sure about the version with .co.uk, I think the balance isn't quite right.

I know I'm probably making things difficult by wanting so many elements in the logo (sorry!) but I really feel it's necessary to have .co.uk in and make it balance.

Can you please make the following tweaks to the .co.uk version - please make .co.uk the same size as BizPod (still keeping .co.uk in orange BizPod in grey) and then reduce the font size of BizPod.co.uk so that it lines up with NorthWest and the Tag line. I know this might make BizPod.co.uk slightly smaller than NorthWest but it would be good to see how it looks.

Many thanks and apologies for making life difficult!

Cheers

Jon

It does throw the design off quite a bit to have them like this.

Maybe there's a middle ground and we could just increase the size of the .co.uk on the first layout?

Just let me know.

I see what you mean.

Can we try your suggestion of increasing the .co.uk on the original design.

Thanks.

Hi Jennifer

Thanks for the new versions, I guess it's only when you see an idea that you really know whether it works or not.

Having looked at a few alternatives I've decided to select V3 and V4 of the design, that gives me an option with and without .co.uk

Can you please let me know where to download the final files and also what formats the logos will be in.

Many thanks for all your time and effort - it's much appreciated.

Cheers
