Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?

THE STAGE CREW

What type of product or service do you offer?
HOME STAGING AND REDESIGN

How long have you been in business?
STARTUP

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
BRANDING! AND A SENSE OF PROFESSIONALISM

What are your long term goals?
A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS (OFFLINE) WITH AN ONLINE SOURCE TOOL AND THE ABILITY TO GROW BOTH IN IMAGE AND IN SIZE.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
April 27th...we have a deadline here because I think we need a website template designed as well, and we wish to be off and running from a marketing perpective ASAP.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Homeowners and Realtors (they come in all shapes and sizes)

Who would you like to add to your audience?
more of them!

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
simple yet attractive and pointed - perhaps even borderline elegant. nothing crazy.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
the owners of the company like blue, and any colors that would represent a rich warm feeling

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
NO. the world is your oyster.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? basically that we are home stagers, and that our job is to "put your home in the spotlight"

What is your tagline or slogan? see previous question..."putting your home in the spotlight"

Where will your new logo be used? print media, apparel, website, you name it

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos? locally we have none to speak of, and we don't care what they look like.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company: see tagline

Offbeat: I think you have the best to offer so far. some points about what you have presented: in #4, the spotlight effect in the A is nice, but it make the tagline off center. the colors are good. it is a little too boxy, not freeform enough though. would like to see a variation or two. #5, the typography is good, but the tagline is absent. the use of the house and the spotlight circle is good, but the house looks unbearably two-dimensional and the shadow isn't developed enough for me.

So far so good. I would love to see more options before the 4/27 deadline.

thanks.

OK. I am not sure about this, but #11 just doesn't work. I like the treatment of the fonts in #10 with the tagline, but the house still looks underdeveloped and - for lack of a better word - fake. remember we are going for a borderline upscale feel here. As home stagers we are basically designers, and we want your design to reflect that. for #9, the change obviously indicates that the spotlight idea will not really work, without something looking off. Also, I don't think that this logo says much about US. please keep trying, and hopefully we will come up with something that works by tomorrow.

Please keep in mind that the house in #10 is just an icon. You normally don't want it over developed or to have too much detail as that makes it difficult to reproduce in some forms. As a logo, it's never going to look photographic. That being said I'll play with some other ideas as well.

Spotlight created from the roof. More upscale look.

logoholik: number #13 has peaked my interest, maybe something other than orange. the house looks kind of out of place, and I was hoping to have some sort of spotlight reference in the logo. is there a way to do that with this one?
I would like to see some variations of this design.

thanks

OK offbeat. so far so good. A few things though. I need to see what it woud look like without the background shape. There was a concern that it might look a little too much like a hotel chain logo??? can we play with the color a little for the house part of the logo so that it isn't as orange. I think we are almost there....

thanks!

I don't know what to do from here so hopefully a moderator can help but we like #17 & #21 from Offbeat Design and we have chosen to go with this designer. I don't know what to do next...

Thanks. Please let me know if you have any changes and what color scheme you want to go with. I can then package up the logos for you and send them over.

OK. I would like to have the version with the background with a lighter yellow "spotlight/house thing" but the blues are good. I need a 1 color version (B&W) and the three color version as vector .eps files. I also need the full color version for a website. I think that if you send me the .eps files, I don't need a separate set of files for the version without the background, as long as it is a separate element(s) and can be removed if necessary...that should about do it...
