Hi everyone - this one could be really fun so we look forward to lots of innovation and ideas.

1a) Name of Company
Southern Offroad LLC

1b)Company Tag Line or slogan:
“Prepare to Play Hard”

1c) Do you have a company logo?
** see digital photograph that I took as well as the business card … this is the concept that they like and would like to maintain. The shirt is closer.

1d) Do you have a corporate visual identity (a customized (non stock) logo and color scheme carried out throughout your office, stationery, business cards, etc.)?
** See the photographs

1e) What is the nature of your business?: Briefly describe your products or services:
Sales / service of aftermarket truck / SUV / jeep and offroad vehicle parts

1f) List the things that make your company/product unique.
Collective years of experience
Passion for “living for southern offroad”
Consumers of products they sell …
Long standing network of customers / shops
Attend “rides” in different areas of the country
Only 4 yrs in business
Low price guarentee

1g) Who is your target market? Who are you hoping to reach with your site?
A - Those who like “dress up” their vehicles look better
B – same vehicles dress them up to certain degree and want to use them offroad to limted degree (not boulder climbing)
C – hardcore offroad users. Care about internal parts like axels and such to make it perform better. Not as caring about how it looks.

** mostly males … 70/30

Comes through the showroom doors
A = 30%
B = 60%
C = 10%

Target customer for online
WHO buys online – look @ competitor sites to see if we can gauge it. Feeling is that :
A = 10%
B = 50%
C = 40%
SEMA – specialty equipment marketing association
Valuable organization for anything relating to aftermarket vehicle addons

1h) What advantages do you expect this project to bring you?
Community focus
Increased revenues
Broaden customer / loyalty base

This logo project will lead directly into a new web template so please design with that in mind. I've attached a couple of images to this and their current website logo to give ideas and the overall feeling of this company. Hopefully we can create something innovative and awesome!

Let me know if you have any questions!!

do you want to see some real-looking images of vehicles like in their old logo? or maybe something simple?

I think it would be interesting to provide multiple concepts to the client so please have some fun with it!

It is important not to lose the intensity of the imagery - this is definitely a site for guys so we need it to be masculine and powerful.

Thanks,
Blair

Hi Guys,

We would like to wrap this contest soon but we need more than one option for the client.

Feel free to post different concepts, sleeker, more fun - we're really looking for creativity!

Thanks,
Blair

Hi there,

Titiana, you are our leading contender right now. Could you give me a couple of additional options just so the client has some flexibility?

Thanks,
Blair

Hi everyone,

After lengthy discussions with the client, we have decided to award the contest to Freetime.

Freetime, we have several points of feedback.

1. We would like to remove the "mud splash" and potentially add some additional text. The client does offroad specifically for Jeeps, Trucks and SUV's so we'd like to add some text to indicate the specificity of the business.

2. We'd like to see a potential design idea come to life - we like how you have the bottoms of the "F's" in Offroad sweeping down below and we're wondering, if, with a little bit of your creative genius you could make them look subtly like tailpipes??

I'll see you in revisions and we look forward to the updated design concepts there.

Thanks everyone for your submissions!!

Blair

Let me know exactly what text the client would like to add and I'll start working on that and making subtle tailpipes out of the "f"s.

Thanks for choosing my design!

Can you implement some flames coming out of the middle design?

Thanks,
Blair

Freetime- can we also try one with an "E" with sharp corners instead of the curves?

Do you think you can post the updated logo today?

Thanks,
Blair

The top one is with flames and the bottome one is the straightened "E" with flames. I actually started to post and then saw the request for the "E". Sorry for the delay!

No problem! This is good - how about some color differentiation on the flames?

Thanks,
Blair

I changed up the flames a little so I could increase the size of them. I'm trying to keep to the 3 color logo by using the orange, yellow look.
Let me know what you think!

e2solutions

Ok, I think maybe one less "flamelet" - they look a little bit flowery :-)

freetime
06-19-2007, 08:48 AM
which one would you like to lose, the top one or the bottom one?

freetime

I changed the flame all together.
