Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
StopSmokingShop.co.uk

we have a temporary site up at http://www.stopsmokingshop.co.uk
NOTE: This is just a holding website - the finished site will look nothing like this.

What type of product or service do you offer?
Stop smoking aides, a message board for people trying to quit and a directory of stop smoking hynotherapists

How long have you been in business?
start-up

What are your long term goals?
To be the first website that people go to to find out how to quit smoking

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
11th May

Audience Profile:
All ages and genders who are Smokers

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Not sure, maybe text on a background, or text with a swirl or motif

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Green (tranquil, stress relieving, healthy symbolises nature)
Orange (warm, attention grabbing)

I am open to suggestions though as I just grabbed those two colours off a colour psychology website

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
No

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
We hope the logo will encourage people to quit smoking, help them trust us and our products

What is your tagline or slogan?
Everything you need to quit smoking

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
We have everythign in one place that you need to quit smoking be it a nicotine replacement product or a complimentary therapy.

Where will your new logo be used?
Website, leaflets

Competitive Positioning:
www.boots.co.uk - old fashioned, not ver versatile
www.expresschemist.co.uk/ - boring. I could probably do that with photoshop
http://www.allcures.com/ - again, not very imaginative

What sets you apart from your competitors?
We concentrate only on stop smoking products

Thanks all :)

I'm going to have to move this deadline forward a week as I need to use this logo in a presentation on the 15th of May.

Thanks

Hi Offbeat Design,

I like the 2nd version. I like the green and orange you've chosen. Would I bee able to see it with stop smoking in green and smoking.co.uk in orange please?

I like the flourish under the text - but I'm not sure I'm in love with it.

Anyone else got a submission? I'll like to see other people's take on this if possible.

Cheers
Simon

Stopping the endless cycle of quitting and starting. Logo also forms an abstract "S" inside.

Hey, thanks for the new submissions.

Offbeat: I really like version 4. The wavy line underneath kinda reminds me of smoke - but not too much that I want to have a smoke. I like the second version where the end of the line nearly touches the .co.uk and supports the letter p.

kaimere: I like your first version. I wasn't sure about using the image of a cigarette in the logo - but that looks quite cool. Like the gradient as well. Very web 2.0.

Thanks again for the submissions.

Hi,

As I was walking home it struck me what I'd like to see. I'd like to see something like Offbeat's wavey line - but with a hand drawn quality to it. I think the hand drawn bit will offset the text to be more friendly. I think that's what I like about the Amazon logo. It looks someone has doodled an arrow from the A to the Z.

Hope someone can do me something with text and a hand drawn motif.

Thanks Simon
