(Admin code added by Palmer - 9W152770MP541205K)
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Webname Name
What type of product or service do you offer?
Software to create website tours.
How long have you been in business?
Startup.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Create a logo that would look good on a website and t-shirts.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
May 4th, 2007
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
I would like a logo that has a recognizable symbol or graphic on the left, and the main text on the right. Ideally, the text has a unique font, and is somewhat artistic as well.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Green / Blue / Black / Gray
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
No.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Not a term I like to use, but - web 2.0
Where will your new logo be used?
Website, business card, and t-shirts
Here are some other logos that I like. Use them to get the idea of what I am looking for.

All in all, these are just some guidelines. Having a graphic to the left is not required... try different things. I have had 3 or 4 logos done on here before, and usually have a longer time before the due date. I have found however, that I get no entries until the last few days. If, for some reason you need a time extension, please let me know.

Pracus,
Thank you for the entry!
As for the logo: there are a number I differences I would like to see.
1) I would prefer to have an actual graphic or symbol to the left of the text that is unique enough to stand on it's own without the text. Example: the apple logo.
2) I would prefer if the font was not so thick. I also like rounded fonts.
3) The text should only have a capital D...not F.
4) I like the idea of the arrow, but I would like it to be a little more of a unique symbol. If I was to show you that arrow out of context, you would have a hard time identifying it.
5) As an example of a logo, I really like the Firefox logo. It has a lot of detail, and stands apart on it's own.
Again, thank you for the entry.

Thank you for the entries...
To All:
In the first post, I didn't indicate that I wanted orange... Orange is definitely a good color to go with as well. If you take a look at the Firefox logo, you will see exactly the type of logo I want.
Pracus:
Going in the right direction, but I would like to see more complexity to the arrow/D graphic. (Like the Firefox example above).
Radojevic:
Version 1 is nice, and I would not recommend any changes to it. Version 2 is also very nice, however I would like something a little more playful. It's not exactly the type of logo that you would want to plaster on the front of a t-shirt.
Bill:
I like the idea! I would like to see red/orange flame and use the blue/green in the actual text. Also, would it be possible to add some detail/complexity to the D. Make it so if you were to only have the D, it would be able to stand by itself and still look great. You don't need to put the amazing website tours line in there...that was a temporary line that will not appear in the final version.
Again, thank you for all the entries so far.

Logoholik,
Thanks for the entry! I really like the first version of it. What I would like to see changed are the following few things:
1) Try to add some blue to the text somewhere. I don't really know what I want, but I would like the text to not be just black.
2) I really like the little logo on the left of the text. I would, however like to see it pop a little more. Could you use some more vibrant colors to make it stand out a little more.
3) Instead of the grey horizontal line going through the middle, could you use a curved line to give it a more aqua look. (Doesn't have to be too dramatic).
Again, thanks for the entry.

Thanks all for the updates, and new entries.

There is something I like about the logo, and something that isn't doing it for me. I wish I could provide more input than that. If you are interested, you could try adding another element to the symbol, and see if that helps the look.
Bill
I still like the concept, but the update isn't what I was looking for. (I don't expect you to know what I want, when I myself, have no clue until I see it). If you desire, you can try a couple different variations.
BlueCherryGraphics
I like the first version! I'm not crazy about the colors though. I have attached a photoshopped version with different colors that I would like to see implemented. I would also like to see a couple different variations.
1) Try 3 or 4 different fonts
2) Could I see 1 or 2 alternate cursor styles
3) I think the cursor would be better without the highlight for uses such as t-shirts.

v2 I would recommend keeping the number of colors to 3 (preferably 2)

Thanks for the changes. Version 3 is the favorite of the 3. I don't have any further changes that I would like to see. Feel free to submit some variations if you wish.
Thank you again.

I ran version 3 by a couple people, and I would like to see 2 more variations to the cursor shape. Keep everything else the same.
Thank you.
Logoholik
That is better. Would it be possible to get rid of the spikes at the top, make the flame a little more unique, and add more color to it?

Since there has been no more activity to this contest in the last few days, I will consider it done, and announce that BlueCherryGraphics is the winner.

I would like to use Message #17 (Which is version 3). I would however like to see 2 more cursor shape variations to choose from. Please either contact me via private PM, or use this forum.
Thank you.

Hi,
Thanks for choosing my design.
I'm a little confused about the cursor shapes, though...it's just a standard mouse pointer, so would you like to look at a couple of different arrows?
Thanks again! :)

I mocked a couple up in photoshop with some different cursor styles, and preferred the current cursor style/size. So with that being said, If you can email me the files to thomsong@sympatico.ca, or send them another way, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks!

Do you mean go ahead and finalize it?
Or were you going to send me the mockup so I could add something similar to the existing design?
Either way is fine; just let me know and I'll send (or post) tonight.
