Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Steve Copeland
For Customers Who Value Professional Integrity
What type of product or service do you offer?
Residential Real Estate
How long have you been in business?
4 years
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Market branding, separate myself from the standard Realtor, discount agents and my Broker.
I want to convey established, polished presence that is raising the bar on Real Estate services.
What are your long term goals?
Long term, I would like to grow my business and be known in the local community. When my logo and slogan are seen it is associated with Integrity, Quality, Superiority and Excellence. When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? 05/03/07 with extension if needed
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
People looking to sell or buy residential property. I primarily work with Sellers.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
I enjoy working with first time home buyers and listing homes within the middle income range. I do enjoy the higher end clients and would like to appeal to them also. About 75% of my work is with middle class.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Illustrative Logo - Logo to be used everywhere when marketing. I would like the logo to be bold and unique and when seen even at a glance the individual will have no doubt as to what I do.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
I like earth tones but I am open to any colors. The Color of the broker’s logo is burgundy as included at bottom. The Brokers logo has to be included with any marketing that I do, so the colors should not clash
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Nothing specific
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Quality, trustworthy, competent, knowledgeable, innovative, creative, smart real estate value.
I would like it to be bold and distinguishing with my name and tag line.
What is your tagline or slogan?
For Customers Who Value Professional Integrity
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
The industry as a whole has been given a bad image from the few. Most people associate Realtor’s as being crooked, not doing much to get paid and with car or furniture sales people.
Most of this image has been brought on by the agents themselves. For example, when someone is looking for a used car to buy they go to a convenience store to pick up a magazine and what is lying next to it. A free Real Estate magazine.
What I want to do is separate myself from the standard agent to reflect the attributes as listed above.
Where will your new logo be used?
Web, print, letter head, business cards, real estate marketing – flyers, auto magnet, newspaper, billboard, etc.
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
The name of the company I am associated with is Solid Source Realty
“Let God Be Your Solid Source”
Not many people realize where the name comes from. The company Logo incorporates a cross.
Unable to load image of current Broker Logo. It can be viewed at www.solidsourcerealty.com

Thought I might add some additional info that may be useful.
Looking for a creative and innovative image. The Brokers logo is burgundy but I would like to separate myself from them. So I would like the colors not to clash with it. I like the natural earth tones. I would like to use my Name and my slogan within the logo, Steve Copeland,”For Customers Who Value Professional Integrity”. Going through the archived file, I like what was done for bradleyrs1. My current web is www.stevecopeland.net and I am trying to separate myself from my Broker Solid Source Realty and other Realtors by branding myself. What I would like is for someone to know exactly what I do when the logo is seen even at a glance. Also, a contemporary style but bold to show a degree of quality and integrity.
Feel free to e-mail me at screalty@charter.net with any questions

:) I do like the tag line below it all and the letter style. The font size of my name as in comparison to the tag line is good. Maybe change the font size (U & L case) and style in my name. Also, could I see it as www.stevecopeland.net , I do want it easy on the eyes but distinguishing. The house w/ the SC in it is unique, I do like it. Could we see some other variations of the SC incorporated into something? As of now this is my first choice :D
Thank you very much for the feedback :)
Here are variations with current image:

I will work on your other request.
( I need to keep my place in your choice list ;) )
Almost forget...
This can be solution too:

Could I see it in a different font style? Maybe something different like this. www.STEVE COPELAND.NET I just added this for you to get an idea as to what I may like. Even though I do like the house with my initials in it I would like to see some other ideas. Maybe a key with my name under it or the house at the beginning with my name stacked and the tag line beneath it all. I'm open to all ideas that you may come up with.
Thanks again

NHR, I agree with your comments on version 2.0 (less is more).I like it we are on the right track. Could I see it in all caps with different sized letters? The tag line looks ok in upper and lower case.
Also, I am curious as to what it would look like with different background colors as though it was placed on a tinted window or a door magnet. I am not sure what could be done with it outside of changing the colors or outlining it.
The version of the keys is not what I had in mind, but I do appreciate the attempt. I was thanking more of an antique style key. Like the logo that was put together for bradleyrs1 in the archived files.
Thanks for all your hard work.

BlueCherryGraphics,
I like the colors and the way it was all formatted together. There are two concerns I have, one is it could be interpreted as copeland.net. Lastly, I like the simplicity of the icon relating to Real Estate I am just concerned that it wouldn’t be recognized as to what it means by the consumer. Outside of that I really like it. I would like to see more of your work.
Thanks a lot

BlueCherryGraphics,
Thanks for the revision in message #17 but I like the original version a little more. Even-though I am still concerned with my original remarks.

I appreciate the changes that you made. I like both of the ones that you made with the different font styles. At this point I can't think of any other changes.
Thanks again, and if you have any other ideas I would be interested in seeing them.

I appreciate the entry.
The design looks a lot like a local Real Estate company Gateway Realty. So that look would not work for me. I do like what you did with the tag line dividing it up with the "P" in the middle. I am looking for something bold and distinguished with possibly a little contemporary style to it. Also, the colors need to blend with a burgundy. I'd prefer it not be burgundy, but I just don't want it to clash with the Brokers color. Attached is the brokers logo just in case it helps.
What I would really like to see is a design with an antique key. The Brokers Tag line is opening doors. I think that my logo could coincide with the Brokers. Yet, be different enough to separate myself from the Broker. That's why I would love to see more designs with the use of a key.

Thanks, for the key it looks good.
We are on the right track. Could we loose the www. and make the key just a little bit smaller and lighter in color maybe grey. I like the SC on it.
I found a key with a small wave beneath it. Could a wave be added or something else and the color be changed to match my name. Also, I would like the ".net" to stay. Lastly, the tag line being the same color as the key.
Thanks

freetime,
I like your v.3 over v.2. Could the colors be toned down some and .net included. Also, could the whole thing be dressed up a little with some other subtle design. Maybe a 3-d effect, shadow, not sure but it needs something.

I was just thinking about the font style, Could you do both font styles with the other changes as you did before. All caps but different sizes I liked the looks of it. I would like to see them side by side.
Thanks for the hard work, I'm beginning to feel like I am high maintenance.

I have increased my bid to $200.00 Through PayPal and changed the Expiration date to ASAP.
NHAR has done a lot of hard work and he should be compensated for it. Also, to encourage other designers to join in.
Thanks
Project Update: The project amount has been raised to $200 and the deadline is ASAP.

I would like to thank everyone for their creative designs and all the hard work.
I would like to announce the winner as BlueCherryGraphics.
Jennifer, I like your v.5 and my assistant (wife) likes v.4 the best. Could we get a look at possibly a v.6 that would combine the two i.e. the key and symbol all in one.
Once that is completed and approved we would need it formatted in
jpeg file,
Corel,
Adobe Illustrator TIF files,
Again thanks to NHR and Freetime for your hard work.

Jennifer - That's just great, I think we want to go with the new revision v.6. Go ahead and send us the file, make sure it's in format for us to use for business cards, shirts, etc. Also, the print shop would need it in
jpeg file,
Corel,
Adobe Illustrator TIF files,
Thanks so much for working with us, your design is exactly what we were looking for!
