The company name is Denver Janitorial Service, Inc. The name should be included with the logo. We are an environmentally friend commercial cleaning company. So I'd like to see something in the logo that represents health or a healthy environment. I'm not really married to anything yet and look forward to some ideas. This is a start up company. I chose the name because it sounds well established. Like it was the first cleaning company. And everyone else had to pick another name because the obvious one was used up. Security and trust is a big deal in our industry. So that should be represented somehow in the design.
Colors should be pleasing with nothing harsh, like yellow or red. I like blue and green, but I’d love to see other options. The logo will be used on business cards, website, letterhead, the usual stuff. Therefore it needs to look good both small (business card size) and medium (web size).
Our targeted message is one of an established, trustworthy company that is aware of the health consequences of a clean work environment.

I like the symbolism of message 4. I think it would look better with a globe or the earth instead of a starburst. It still needs to look good when printed in black and white. However, I'd like to see something with more depth when used on the web. It may need two versions. But it would be better if it looked good in greyscale.

I'm kind of leaning away from tools of our industry. Just because it is used so much and looks to much like a new comer. I want to look like we've been in business for awhile.

I'd like to see something with a tree. Maybe a large oak tree. I think it obviously represents the environment. But it also represent stablity and history. I like the art design that doesn't have all the detail. I'm not an artist so I don't know what it is called, but it is like the outline of a profile.

The last submissons were great! This is exactly what I was thinking. I think I want to highlight what we do more by eliminating the "Service, Inc.". So the text should be "Denver Janitorial" only. On message 12 could you try something a little different with the color? The black and white version looks great. But, I'd like to see something that would look cool on the web. I also need a black and white version for print, without the "Service, Inc."

Sorry about the delay. I've been on vacation the last week. Logoholik, can you make the ball look like the earth? I love the 3D look and it looks good in black and white.

I appreciate everyone’s participation. This was a very difficult decision. There were some amazing designs. I'm really glad I used Design Outpost. There is no way I could have come up with some of this.
It is the consensus of the staff that Logoholik's design best fits the image we want to project.

Bojan,
I do need one adjustment. The Janitorial doesn't show up very well. Can you make it the same color as the darker green in the leaf?
Also, I need a real clean transparent gif. Something that has sharp edges to use in a powerpoint presentation. I tried converting it but the edges are fuzzy. If there is a different format that allows transparency, let me know.

What font is did you use? I'd like to use the same on the business cards and letterhead.
