Admin code added by Abby - 0YD813819N300470S
EDITED TO UPDATE DEADLINE: May 20
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Inspired Art
What type of product or service do you offer?
Wedding & Portrait Photography
How long have you been in business?
1 year
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? May 20
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience:
Hip, trendy moms with young kids and brides who are looking for creative photography.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
It needs to incorporate the attached graphic element. Please see our current marketing materials as a guideline. The font is Cezanne and we would like to see some logos with that font and possibly with others that may match better with the graphic element.
Nothing cheesy, no camera clipart, etc.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
See our photo for our current colors.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Attached element or elements that are VERY similar.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Hip, trendy, fun, yet professional and upscale
What is your tagline or slogan?
We would possibly like the tagline "lifestyle photography" included in some designs, as long as it doesn't overpower the main logo.
Where will your new logo be used?
Website, business cards, in our studio, and on all our marketing and promotional materials.

I'm interested in the project, but what is it you want to change from the existing logo that you're using? It seems like you want a lot of the same elements.

Hi,
I am interested in submitting a design, however, can you tell me if you own the copyright to the artwork in the EPS file (flowers, etc.)?
If not, we cannot use those elements within the design, but can do something in a similar style.
Can you clarify that for myself and the other designers?
Thanks! :)

I love the element that I'm currently using but it is not a logo. It's a font and an element that don't really fit together. That's why I said that if someone could find a way to make them work together, that would be great, but I'd also love to see other fonts and that element worked into the logo itself.
Maybe this is more of a redesign?
Oh, and yes I purchased the copyright to the elements that I am allowed to use for personal marketing, logo, etc but not for resale on t-shirts or other commercial uses.
I included the whole EPS file because I do not have Illustrator and couldn't seperate the elements. Please only use the elements I showed in the current marketing materials.
Did that make any more sense? Let me know if you still have questions. Thanks!

Do you have your current logo in vector format (EPS, AI, CDR, WMF)?
By the way - I think this is great that the element somehow stands out and is contrasting with your logo. This is why the logo is well exposed.
But I can play with both of them - logo and element if you wish :)

I edited the thread to add the eps file for the logo.
Thanks

anyone? If it's still not clear what I'm looking for, feel free to ask questions or at least start with some kind of logo and maybe I can direct you guys from there.

Thank you for posting one! I know this logo is difficult since it's so specific.
Ok, here are my thoughts:
1. I'd rather have a freestanding logo rather than something that is stuck in a box or other shape.
More like this: http://www.sproutchild.com/
But obviously don't copy off of theirs, I just like the style.
I chose my graphic element before I realized that this local company has the same type of element, so it needs to be different.
2. I'm thinking the script font isn't going well with the circles and I would love to see some other font options.
Thanks for the great start, I really appreciate it.

tini1 - Thanks for your concept. I still feel the words and graphic are too seperate from each other. This was the original problem.
Logoholik - This is definitely the closest to what I am thinking. I worry that it looks too much like my local children's boutique: http://www.sproutchild.com/
I like that you incorporated the graphic into the words, but I'm just feeling the placement is not what I'm looking for. Maybe have the graphic coming off of the first "i" and then extending underneath/behind the wording? Just an idea.
Thanks for the entries! Keep up the good work.

Logoholik - I was still posting when you posted the 2nd version. 2nd version again feels too seperated. I'd like the graphic and words to work together more directly.
Also, to everyone: The logo should be fun, hip, and trendy. Nothing too over the top, but the font can be something that's fun and different.

Logoholik - Thanks for the quick revision! I feel like it's one of those things where I'll know it when I see it and I'm just not in love with any of the designs. I really feel your going in the right direction though.
I think version 4 is ok, and maybe try some different fonts that are a bit more fun?
Thanks!

to keep your current logo style and reveal the details :)
InspiredArt

Fabian - I'm not really feeling either of these. I like the concept in the first one, but I keep seeing "69" even though it's backwards. hah
Pracus - Creative use of the graphic element, but I think ulitmately it may be too hard to read on things like business cards and watermarks. Not the direction we'd like to go.

I'm also going to be out of town this week, so I'm extending the deadline to May 20. I'll be checking back during the week when I can.

The smaller the logo is the more compact are those details, so finally it is getting to be the text without the details.
But I'll understand if you don't like it.

Pracus - aah, I get it, that's a creative idea. I was trying to get the element more obviously shown though. Thanks!

Thanks!

Offbeat, Dee, and tini1 - Just not what we are looking for. Thanks for your entries.
