Project Summary:

What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
SmileiQ.com (with .com)

What type of product or service do you offer?
A consumer information and membership site all about your smile

How long have you been in business?
Consulting for 8 years (as a dentist and dental consultant)

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Establish myself as the Internet Dental Expert and the website as the source for dental answers

What are your long term goals?
I plan to build this website into a major informational site for people looking for answers to their dental problems.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
May 9

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Female ages 18-50 with money and vanity concerns. Women who are looking for solutions to their dental and cosmetic dental problems.

Who would you like to add to your audience?
Yes. Men who care about their teeth but don't want to seek help from a dentist or without time or $ to spend on dental care

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:

What type of logo would you like?
Flashy, radiating,clever, "smart"

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
A shade of red, white, black, and another color. Appeal to female but look professional.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
SmileiQ.com - perhaps a smiley face somewhere without making it look kiddie. We can include a separate symbol in it.

Communication Strategy:

What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Classy and fun. italicize, bold. surprise me.

What is your tagline or slogan?
Internet's #1 Source for your Smile

Where will your new logo be used?
All marketing materials including web, letterhead, bc, brochures, emails, ezines,

Competitive Positioning:

Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
none really. Currently the only competitors are local dentists who want people to find their website. Most of the time the info on their sites is minimal and does not address a lot of answers.

List competitive URLs if possible

What sets you apart from your competitors?
real good info, real answers from an expert. interactive site with great material, including tips, tricks and reviews.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company: Thorough and Savvy. :)

When logo is complete, site design will be next.

The winner will be rewarded with being credited for the great work time and time again.

Hello. Thanks for the great start.

I hoped for more input. I may have to extend the deadline because this needs to be the beSt!
:)

Let's Start with general comments.

1) I love the put the "smile" and ".com" in one color and the "iQ" in another color.

2) I think I would like to have a separate symbol in addition to the logo if the "smileiq.com" does not convey the "smart but fun" look I'm trying to achieve.

3) I'd also want to see the use of color gradients, not just solif colors.

Blessville: great start. I like ver 2.0 the most. Let's work on a symbol instead of the smile. I may go back to it later

Bojan: nice. don't like the brush stroke though. make it cleaner please. let's mix it up with bold or italicize, or some other colors.

other designers, need more options please. will extend deadline.

Titalia: Thanks for the design. I believe it is too kiddie. I think more professional.

Bojan Ver2: Can we Try different font, more sexy for smile and .com. Let's work with red or orange for the smile and .com. Bold the iq in black. I like where you are going.

Offbeat: Great idea!! I like the symbol. Make "smile" red pls.

Keep them coming!

Bojan
05-10-2007, 01:33 AM
... and another... well i admit i might be wrong with the font choice... if so, please can you be more specific what you had in mind, as sexy(for a font) is rather subjective :)

Bojan
05-10-2007, 01:34 AM
and at the end i still prefer not having two different fonts... here i used as in original v2 but inversed roles, havin iQ bold

I've received some very good designs.

I've emailed the links to other people (my focus group) and am waiting for their response.

Everyone one of the designs are in contention. After today, I'll select the final design.

If you have any others you want to throw into the shuffle, do it asap.

sincerely,
marvin

quetizo and other designers: nice. I'm going back to a change in color so that it is not too harsh. let's go back to these colors 1925 and 322 from Bijan version 1.

quetizo: put the .com outside the bottom curve.... and put a line through the "Q" so that it completes the smile cheek on that side

pantangco

j johnson... ver 2: keep the colors. add .com at the end in the first color

After a lot of deliberation with all of the people involved we have chosen the best logo submited.

All of you that submitted logos are all talented and deserve our best wishes but the one we liked the most was

by Relevant Version 2.

We liked the colors selected and it looked stately and professional. A modern woman selected this logo and said that it fit will with the project.

Thanks again.
We encourange anyone to see the final project with finished at.... www.smileiq.com
