Admin code added by Abby - 7J676342VX5058349
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Back to Nature
Ecological Design and Development (This phrase is also our tag line. It should be a central element in any logo design.)
What type of product or service do you offer?
Ecologically-Inspired Landscape Architecture and Land Development
How long have you been in business?
15+ years
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
We are currently expanding our service offerings and we want to convey to our clients that we are a growing company committed to offering them the Luxury of Nature. (We are in the process of trade marking the term the “Luxury of Nature.” In essence, while we offer specific services, what we sell is the Luxury of Nature.)
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
May 21st
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
High net-worth individuals (these are mostly existing clients and potential future home buyers); State, County & Local regulators and officials; investors; consultants; employees; and potential new clients.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
More of the same. Although we are currently focused in New Jersey, we’d like to become nationally recognized experts on regenerative design and development. Eventually we’d like to expand our services beyond the New Jersey area.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
We would like to have a logo that expresses LUXURY, REGENERATION, and shows movement or growth. This logo, because of our audience, needs to be elegant, sleek, and simple. Because we deal with water as well, we are open to incorporating a water aspect into the logo.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Yes, we have specific colors in mind mainly to match a new website design. Three colors (Dark Green #334433, Peppermint #aabbaa, White), but we are open to a fourth color.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
We like the idea of an opening frond/fiddlehead or budding leaf. Water is an option. If you have other ideas, please feel free to suggest them. Our business is absolutely focused on nature, so we’ve been using the leaf for years. If there is another more innovative way to express our relationship with nature, we’d love to see it.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Exceptional customer service; environmentally responsible; high-end services.
What is your tagline or slogan?
Ecological Design and Development
Where will your new logo be used?
Website, Business Cards, Letterheads, Presentation, Image boards….
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Luxury of Nature
Images:
Older version of the logo is the image with the faded black behind the fern.
Tagline: Landscape Associates
The current version of the logo is the image with only the fern and the company name on top.
Tagline: Ecological Design and Development

Hi everyone! First, I want to thank all who have submitted designs. It’s exciting to see such a wide variety of ideas and talents.
Comments:
Relevant (post #2) – The design isn’t quite what we are looking for. We are marketing to more luxury clientele. Can you take this idea and mold it to a more simple and elegant logo using the request colors?
Offbeat (post #3) – Great idea! I love the idea of the concentric shapes. I’m also happy that you read our post and used the requested colors. Can you take the idea you presented and make it a little more free-flowing? A little less structured?
Blue Cherry Graphics (post #3, 4) – Interesting idea! Definitely got us thinking creatively! Can you take this idea and make it more “luxury” (simple, free-flowing)? Also can you change the colors to the requested colors?
Imot (post #7) – I like the concept of the leaf lying in the water. Can you change the outline thickness of the leaf and make it thinner and change the font choice? We are marketing to more luxury clientele and need something that’s simple, but says what we do without being too literal.
NHR (post #8) – Great idea! So far this idea is closest to what we have in mind. Can you turn the leaf so we see a little more of the leaf. Also can you change the line thickness so the end of the circle almost disappears, and change the colors to the requested colors but leave the blue for the drop?
Logoholik (post #9, 10) – I love how simple this idea is. Very interesting! Can you change the line thickness of the leaf and circle? Keep the free-flowing idea. Also can you change the font? Thank you for using the requested colors.
Thank you again everyone! We’re almost there. Eager to see more exciting ideas!

Thank you Blesseville and NHR! Great designs!
NHR (post #13) - Can you add a little more detail to the leaf?
Blesseville (post #12) - Great idea! Can you add more detail to the leaf and maybe stretch the leaf so its not so obviously ying-yang? We like the idea, but don't want it to be so obvious.
We are close! Thank you everyone!

Project Update: The project deadline has been extended to May 28th.
back2nature
05-21-2007, 12:36 PM
We’ve decided to extend the deadline. We’re close to deciding, but need a few more changes and/or examples.
Logoholik (posts #15, 16, 17) – Can you change the top curve of the leaf slightly so it’s less curvy? Also can you show an example of a sans serif font?
Shnickerdoodle studios (post #18) – Can you change the fern so it’s less Christmas tree like? And can you also make the text less cursive?
Blesseville (post #19) – Thank you! Can you add some detail (very small) to the droplet? Also can you round off a little the leaf at the tip and take away some of the detail (like only one white vein instead of four? So it shows an illusion of more detail that what it gives.)
NHR (post#20) – Can you make the droplet less curved and make the leaf less curved at the bottom too? I like the detail on the leaf, but maybe make the white center line thicker and less little veins on the sides? Also can you make not make the font bold and maybe a little thinner?
Relevant Studio (post #22) – Like the redo! Very creative… Can you change the font so it’s less retro? Also can you add a water drop somewhere in the middle of the logo?
Rongen (post #23) – I don’t know what to say about this logo. It’s very creative. But I think we want to stay away from a tree as it has been overdone by other Landscape Architecture companies. Can you take the same feel and apply it to a fern and a drop of water?
Fran (post #24) – I like the fact that you sort of incorporated the logo and text. It’s very interesting. Can you change the bright blue/green color to a lighter green instead?
Imot (post #25) – I like what you did here, but can you change the lowercase bottom text to uppercase. Also I feel like the company name is overshadowing the logo because of its size. Can you adjust it?
Rongen (post #26) – I don’t know what this logo is. It also happens to be missing the tagline, which is very important.
Titania (post #27) – I love the concept of the growth aspect and the various colors you used. It’s very beautiful, but it’s just large. Can you bring down the size?
Thank you everyone for your posts! Can’t wait to see more!

Comments:
Imot – posts #31, 32
For whatever reason, the black and white version keeps calling me. Can you adjust the blue color so it’s less florescent and more subtle (almost grey blue)? Also can you show me a version with the logo placed in a different location with a different font choice (something that’s cleaner, more luxury).
For post # 32, I like how creative this idea is. Can you change the colors to the requested colors and change the font choice?
Titania – posts # 33, 43
I love this idea. Instead of the fuzzy blue circle on post #33, can you make it solid and one size all the way around? Also can you show me a few more options regarding font choice? Thanks!
Logoholik – posts #35, 36, 37
This logo keeps catching my eye. I like the feel. Can you change some of the thickness of the leaf and circle? Maybe play around with the placement of the logo and text? Thanks!
NHR – posts #38
Like original idea better. Maybe the little veins are too much. Can you make the middle white vein a little thicker and remove all the other little veins? Can you also make the logo slightly smaller? This logo is very inventive. I love the creativity of this logo.
Rongen – posts #39
I like this idea. Its original. I definitely ‘get’ the concept. Can you change the colors to the requested colors? Also can you change the font choice? And maybe move the logo to the left? Thanks!
Blesseville – posts #41
I liked you original idea of one vein instead of two. That was a bad call on my end. Instead can you make the middle vein larger? Thanks!
Offbeat – posts 42,43,44
Post 42- Not quite what we are looking for. I like the creative thought behind it to include the leaf within the text. But it doesn’t read “luxury” to us.
Post 43 + 44 – I like the thinking behind these. But I like what you did at the beginning better as far as these logos go.
Relevant – posts #45, 46
I like this concept because its simple. Can you remove the Kelly green and replace it with the requested colors? Also can you remove some of the roundness in the 4 big green circles? Our clients are traditional upscale, and less young and modern.
Blue Cherry Graphics – posts # 47, 48
Post #47 Love the font choice! Can you change the colors to the requested colors? For whatever reason when I see these colors I think medical and not luxury landscape design. Can you also add some detail to the leaf as well as change the line type to calligraphic?
Post #48 Love this idea! Absolutely more our speed. Can you make the leaf a little more obvious (besides the color, maybe add detail)? Can you also provide a different font choice?
Fabian – post #49
This idea is simplistic and simplicity is good. This idea would work for a new modern company. We are not that. We cater to traditional upscale clientele, so our logo needs to be elegant and simple at the same time. I like the general idea, but could you change the angle of the leaf so its leaning one way or another? Also can you change the long line above the name so it a calligraphic type line? Thanks!
Thank you everyone again for your patience and you’re creativity. I appreciate all these ideas.

Hi everyone! I love the ideas.
Comments:
Titania – posts #53, 54
I like the font in (b) post 53. My supervisor would like to see the ferns out of the circle again. Also can you flip the ferns so it goes from frond to full grown fern and not the other way around and maybe make it a little smaller? We also like you earlier idea of a blue swoosh behind the title too. Maybe work that into the “E” in Nature?
Rongen – posts #55
I like this idea. Can you remove the third broken circle? Also, can you give me a few options regarding text? Thanks!
Relevant – posts #56, 57
Both posts are interesting ideas, but my supervisor doesn’t feel it conveys what we are about. Sorry... Can you try something with a fern maybe?
Imot – posts #58, 59, 60
I like the placement of the logo in post #59. Can you give me options on text?
Post #60 – good idea, but not quite what we are looking for. We like post #59 much better.
Blesseville – posts #61
I think this idea is elegant. Can you round off the pointed part of the leaf very little? Also, can you show me a few options regarding text?
NHR – posts #62
Can you make the middle vein thicker? Also can you show me a few options regarding text?
Logoholik – posts #63
I like this idea. Can you show me a few more options regarding text?
Thank you everyone. We are very close to choosing a winner.
