I am in need of a postcard and door hanger design. What I am looking for is something that is eye catching, and appealing with the images of the moon bounces on it. The background color for these designs should be orange with the company name in dark blue. I have reviewed several several of the other businesses in the area and noticed that two toned cards are very appealing. If you would like to post the door hanger for this project, please do so. I will be concentrating on the post card. The door hanger shall be reletively the same. When I pick the winning designer, they have to also submit a door hanger of the same, if they haven't done so in this thread. I will check the site frequently to answer any questions. The project due date is one week (7 days), 5-14-07 roughly in the after noon (3 pm EST).

The text should read....

Fun Patrol (company name)
Moon Bounces
Slides
Combos
and More
610 617 8844 (company phone)
TheFunPeople.com (URL)

If you think this can be slipped in without junking the card up, please feel free (not a big deal)....

$20 off Moon Bounce, Slide, or Combo rental

with a coupon code # box (a small white rectangular box) and the test should read...

Use this code # for discount

Image of business card provided. Url's of moon bounces and slides below...

To get a panel on this bounce, select 'birthday' from the drop down menu and then right click image.....

Thanks designers, and good luck.

what's the postcard and hanger doorsize? (my demo for post card is 5.6" x 4.25" and the door hanger 4" x 9")
and what's the text of the door hanger of both side?
here's from me... :)
Thank You.

Thanks for the submission. I am thinking the normal size for the post card of 4 X 6. I think that is the minimum size of the post card, if I am not mistaken. The door hanger, I thought, came in one size. I know now that you asked, I may be wrong.

I like the clash of the colors. I saw other cards that looked more gradient (I guess to describe them). The coupon code area should have a white box next to it as to place a code # with a sharpie marker. Like I said, it it not a deal breaker. If the designers feel that it would junk the card up, then it wouldn't make or break my decision on the final selection.

The door hanger have a many size...So, what size do you will use?
About the postcard, I little bit confused about "The coupon code area should have a white box next to it as to place a code # with a sharpie marker"
Do you have sample of this?
Thank You. :)

Next to the wording, "Use this code # for discount" There should be a rectangular box, so that I can write a code # in marker on it.

Let's go with 4.25" X 11" for the door hanger.

Here's my revision... :)
Do you want to add some text in "some text here" for door hanger, like "don't disturb" or "clean my room" or anything?
There's two side door hanger or one?
Thank You.

I have checked the print company and it is cheaper to do two sided.

I guess in the red area we can try to fill it with "Party?"

So,,,, on the other side I would like it to just list this text with yellow stars beside it....

Party rentals for all occasions (blue text)

Backyard parties
Day care events
Fund raisers
Company picnics
Family reunions
School and church functions
Fairs and festivals
and more!

I like the Fun Patrol font, Bogglins. I wonder what that would look like on an orange background.

For the post card, there should be a longer, wider white box for me to place a code #.

That's it giant! :) It would have to be a little bigger for me to write a code # in though. Can we see what the bounces look like without the boxes and maybe a different background?

I think that is much better bogglins! Can we see what a post card would look like?

Basically.. the postcard will look similar to the hanger.. I have an idea already on how to compose it properly... before going to that, I just want to make sure if you have any revision needed for my concept in order to make it just like what you have in mind.. so, please advise.
thanks! :)

Giant,

What I did like about your card was the shine on each product and the enlargement. Is there anyway to play with the font?

Bloggins,

The only thing I think of to change or tweak is the size of the products, not sure what they would look like larger. May be good, or it may be bad. Also the font for 'thefunpeople.com' could be different from the listing. Other than I love the 'Fun Patrol' font, and the phone # font.

which fonts, the fun patrol or another part?

I figured them all. Those are a couple of interesting fonts. I like the first one!

I like the 3d affect. The foreground moon bounce looks closer than the others. The plain font at the top and phone # needs tweaked. Good first submission!!! The Fun Patrol font looks ok.

I like how you guys are making the cards eye appealing.

Changes on some parts ...

some thoughts on this in general :
The card has to be eyecatching so the customer will take the time to take a look at it. Once he has the card in his hands - it's secondary how big some details are ( telephone numbers - website etc. ).
He will hold in his hand a 4x6" big artwork - at a distance of a few inches ... it will be impossible for him to ignore the information written on it ( which isn't so much ).
As far as the text is big enough to read ...

So - I emphasize the overall look and the impact of the design ...

Can I see what your star on your other card looks like?

Make it '$20 off'

also...

Is there any way to see this on other backgrounds?

Grafissimo,

Can I see a couple of different 'Fun Patrol' fonts that are kind of like what the other designers have submitted?

I like that style much better.

I guess we are coming down the home stretch. If anyone has any better ideas for this project I am all eyes. I would definitely like to see some door hangers, if you didn't submit one, or vise versa if you didn't submit a post card. Like I said, you don't have to, but it may help in my final decision.

Thanks.

Just to give an idea of what font I like for 'Fun Patrol' here are two that I truly like....

... front and back of a doorhanger ( I used 3,5 x 8" size ... later on it has to be adapted to the size you will choose at your printer )
Comments welcome ...

I think you are right about the wording, the picture (product)should be the first thing to get their attention.

I am just interested in the company font now. Everything else looks good. I want to see what different ones would look like on your backgrounds. I was going to go with what was on the card I posted or anything relatively close to it, but you guys showed some more interesting.

Also, can you apply the discount thing on the door hanger? Just want to get an idea whether it would go with it or not.

I guess it is about that time. I will be stopping back in in about 1-2 hours to pick a design. If there are any more entries, I will take a look at them then.
