(Admin code added by Demex - 8671801429)

We have come up with a new product to help boaters. We are in the process of getting the product off the ground and into production. Basically all I can say right now is the product helps keep Seagulls and birds off of speedboats. The name we have come up with is Gull Chaser. Which we own www.gullchaser.com

A couple of things we like - no REAL pictures...we want it artsy and retro looking not just a photograph of something!

Couple of ideas I have heard around:
1.) speed boat(s) in water like a lake and a seagull flying away from the boats....

2.) a half circle representing a lake with boats in the water and a seagull some where..

We do not have to do these ideas, just some friends have come up with. So give me your best shot. If you need to talk with me more about the project you can im me on aim at: nikkogreek

I have attached a logo that I found which I like, it is a sailboat - we do not want a sail boat because our product won't work with sail boats. But the idea of no real pictures is what am looking for here....

We are awarding $100.00 to the winner and also recognition in product packaging (if possible) and recognition on website. Also if we have further products/designs the winner will be notified first hand.

Would like to get this done ASAP!!!
Nick

Okay going to show some of these to my partner in this project. So far I do not like this one: coredesign - to plain needs more spunk retro look.

Will give more feedback wednesday!

Thanks for the quick responce guys. Also if I get a real good logo really quick on what I am looking for - I will do some sort of a bonus here people. I will try to get more money!

Okay - couple of things. The first one that you designed caught my eye!

Do you see the sail boat that i put there as an example, we were looking for a something like that. Also on the boat that you have maybe using a speedboat - bow rider instead of a bigger yatch that you have. My partner is not fond of the circle. The last two designs that you have we don't like. hmm....we need something else that sticks out on the logo - hmmm the colors of the product are yellow and orange, not sure if that would help with the colors of the logo. We are trying to brand the logo to the product. Maybe like a retro looking seagull or something. Something that catches peoples eyes.....hope this helps...

Designers - Retro looking and to catch you eye to go - WOW what is that?

like Ruairi i like tropicallandscaping design that you did on your website. That was good...

I also liked the logo for nectarom - that stood out

one more thing..the boat doesn't have to chase the seagulls away, that is the job of the product ;)

A couple more things to add that might help with the designing:
i thinik the logo should be predominantly type since our name is not easily recognizable. Also the seagulls should be a minor part of the logo. Maybe a fairly boldtypeface, and maybe the gulls should be stylized to look more like a suggestion rather tahn an exact replica of a seagull. Our product is mainly focused on men and speedboats - so action oreinted would attract to them.
think of a gull looking sort of like how you might imagine it used for a car logo. Also look a boat logo because we should focus similarly with that. So we need to focus more on the name Gull Chaser and the seagulls should be an embellishment....hope this helps - i know this is confussing because I am confussing myself. But hopfully someone understands me....

Hi Nick,

Not sure if this is any closer to what you had in mind - but I was fiddling around with my original draft a bit, and thought I'd post an update. Thanks for your consideration,

Liz.

What do you think about these?

I was wondering if you can work a little more on the logo that you created eagle.

If you could do these three things as seperate images for us to look at it would be great.

1.) I like the second image with the yellow and blue colors. Can we make an image with all the seagulls being blue and using the yellow line?

2.) Now a second image, can we make the yellow line like a rope, use the same shape you have but make the texture like a bradded rope. with all seagulls being blue.

3.) in seperate image, make all seagulls blue, have the blue and the yellow like a rope, bradded.....but keep same shape as you have.

we like how you created the r into a seagull - really caught our eyes....so lets see if we can get this into our logo for gull chaser.

Hi there Nick!

Here are your revisions as requested. My personal favourite is still GC_v1.2, but you're the boss! <img src='http://www.jms101.btinternet.co.uk/full_sets/gold/circular_bold_std/thumbsup.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />
