Hello,
My project is a 4x6 full color postcard that will be mailed. I don't have any pictures for you. We also do not have a logo that I can send you so just use a nice looking font for the name. The school colors are maroon and gray.
The postcard is for New Life Christian Academy.
Information we want on the postcard:
Grades K-12
Bible-based, computer interactive curriculum
Athletic program
affordable tuition
Open House 6/24
$100.00 off enrollment for new students if enrolled by 6/24
We'd like to for you to use some stock photos on the card that would be appropriate for a Christian school.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Ryan

Hi Ryan,
I have started working on a design for your postcard but have a couple of questions.
1) Is this postcard one-sided or two-sided?
2) Do you want any contact information (address, phone number) on the card?
Thanks, Jessica

Salutations Ryan,
Thank you for the opportunity to develop this project for you. I've attached my concept for your review.
Design Notes :
Maroon and gray incorporated to reflect the school's colors.
Handwritten font creates an inviting, friendly feeling.
Regal copperplate font for name exudes a feeling of structure and trust.
Contrasting callout offer draws the eye invariably to it's important and valuable message.
Image of child atop a stack of books ties in with humorous phrase and education in general
White box on bottom of address side is both for aesthetics and functionality. Mailers require a certain amount of white space on the bottom for barcode processing. If it's not there, an unsightly bar code sticker will be haphazardly attached to your card during the mailing process.
Humorous phrase provides a friendly and inviting message while quickly conveying a 40,000 foot view of the school's capabilities and focus (i.e. "Dr. Suess" references the younger grades, Algebra indicates the presence of high school grade levels, and "The Good Book" of course reinforces the underlying Christian foundation of the school.)

Bluecherry,
I like your concept. I think I'd like to see it with a different photo. Maybe with a kid doing something other than coloring.
Jessica,
The postcard is two-sided and contact info will need to be on there.
Micha,
I'd like what you've done. It just seems a little busy. Could I see something else?
Thanks

Ryan,
Thank you for the feedback. Is there anything specific you like or don't like. Any details you can offer will help with my revisions. Colors? Photos? Jagged edges? Callout badge? Dr. Seuss/Algebra/Good Book Phrase?
Or were you looking to see an entirely different concept alltogether? Detailed feedback regarding the aforementioned items will help either way.
Thank you

Ryan,
Difficult to acertain what elements you thought were good and what elements you would like to see changed. Some specific items you could express your opinion on that would help me with my revisions would be :
• Colors
• Photo
• Style (straight edges / vs organic rough edges)
• Font selection
• Callout badge (100$ offer - color, placement, shape)
Here is another take on the concept. Please let me know if I'm getting closer. Thank you.

Micha,
I don't like the layout. With the jagged edges going across. I think that's what it is.
Bluecherry,
I really like the last picture except for the fact that the school doesn't allow students to have facial hair and one of the guys in the picture does. That might would be a problem.
Thanks
I'll be back tonight around 9:30 p.m central and will make a decision then.

Jennifer,
Here are the revisions. Sorry for the delay.
Is there any way to make the $100 stand out just a little more on the front?

Yes, change it to "on the school campus". Also, we're wanting the picture from message #2. The original one that you posted.

That looks great. This is being mailed. Does anything else need to be on the back. If not, just send me the file.
Thanks

Hi,
I don't know if you received my private message earlier, but the file will be sent "as is" for the back unless you have other information you require on it.
Just let me know on that and we'll be ready to go.

Hi,
Please let me know ASAP on the back; I know you're up against a deadline, but I'll be working a while longer tonight.

I didn't know you'd posted on here. I was expecting you to pm me. The back is fine like it is as long as you've left me enough room for the post office. Please send it asap.
Thanks

I did both (sent a private message and posted here) because I wasn't sure you'd received either.
This is the revised back, which to the best of my knowledge conforms to USPS standards (actually just a tiny bit more room than the require). You should always take a proof to the post office to check though, just to be safe.
I did make two minor changes so that I could keep the font sizes as is:
* changed "North Little Rock" to "N. Little Rock"
* changed "and" to "&" in the copy (this saves increasing that area by one line)
I am attaching the proofs here, but I am going to go ahead and send you your finals so you'll have them.
Please rest assured I WILL still make any changes you want, I just want to make sure you have print files in your hands due to the deadline and occasionally I miss notifications that a new message has been posted, etc.
