This project is about making a logo for an online clothes store, selling clothes to teens and young adults of both sexes. The goods are mostly various established european brands (The store is in Denmark, Europe, and the audience/competitors are of this nationality).
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
The store name "Superteens", not much else. No real preference on how to style it. We're thinking that maybe the logo should be able to do without the name (But, mostly, with it).
What type of product or service do you offer?
Selling design labels clothing, accessories, shoes.
How long have you been in business?
Just planning on going into business these following months.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Be an interesting, and memorable, online shop, with a logo that doesn't distract from the actual clothes and other items.
What are your long term goals?
A series of online shops with different themes, but maybe a linking through design.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Deadline is (Friday) June 29th, around 1800 GMT (the exact time isn't that important though.
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Hopefully teens and young adults, but business is not running yet.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
Tens and young adults, of both sexes.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
The logo should cater to both males and females, but shouldn't be too simple. Lots of curves, and should be slightly horisontal.
No thin lines or meshes
Not settled on weather text should be below or on the side of the logo (og maybe just part of it)
The logo shouldn't be so cute, that it ends up being childish.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Not pink or light blue (We want to stay away from all the online baby clothings stores).
Well.. you've probably forgot more about colours that i'll ever know.. no primary colours?
No Magenta.. seems like T-Mobile owns that colour :P
Must work in both colours and B/W
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
No real preferences here.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Should reflect that this is a friendly and serous business, that welcomes both male and female customers.
What is your tagline or slogan?
We have neither.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
That nice qualities of clothing are available online, and not only in expensive stores.
Where will your new logo be used?
Logo will be used on the online store, on affiliate pages (community profiles and such), and possibly on letterheads/ business cards (to be determined, not critical for chosing the logo)
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Other online stores that cater to the same target audience either don't have "designed logos", or only very simple ones. They also split stores/logos between sales for male and female customers.
Hope to hear from a lot of great designers! :)
