Hi everyone! Thank you in advance for your creativity and hard work – I’m very excited to see what all of you come up with!
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Go Fish!
What type of product or service do you offer?
We are a “consignment sale event” company. We hold a 5-day consignment sale for kid’s clothes and toys, twice yearly. Parents drop off kid’s items on the first day, and then come back and shop. We send consignors a check for a % of their sales.
How long have you been in business?
We’re brand new – my first sale will be in August.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
I want to look professional from the start and to grab the attention and curiosity of parents.
What are your long term goals?
My long term goal is to make this consignment sale an event that is recognized by everyone in the community. It will be a better option than garage sales for parents – they will get more money for their unwanted items. It will be organized and will allow parents to get a fair price for their stuff – and it will be a great one-stop shopping experience.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
I need to start advertising ASAP, so I’m hoping to be to be at the revision-stage on Monday, June 25th. However, if it goes faster than that, I will be thrilled! I’ll give you a heads up, though, and a few days to submit after that so that I don’t pull the plug while you are in the midst of your masterpiece. J
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Parents – probably all mothers who are on a budget. Most moms I know love bargains and are in need of kid’s clothes and toys.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
A kid-focused logo in some great colors - I need it with just the title “Go Fish!” for
t-shirts and such, and also with the subtitle “Consignment Sale” so that people know what the company actually is about.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
I like different shades of blues and yellows together (if it were a water/fishbowl theme). The card-game theme could be in any primary colors.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
We could go one of two ways: ocean /fishbowl themed, or the fact that “Go Fish” is a game, and we would have toys/games to sell at the sale. I like the pictures of whimsical fishbowls that I come across when searching for ideas.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
It’s a “mom and kids” focused company. It’s a whimsical, fun event and it’s a win-win situation for everyone.
What is your tagline or slogan?
I don’t have one yet. I do need the logo (as stated above) to have “consignment sale” in it, but I also need it without so that I can put it on t-shirts, aprons, stickers, etc..
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
A new way to shop for kid’s stuff.
Where will your new logo be used?
On my website, business cards, flyers, advertising, and clothing.
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
I don’t really have competitors, as there are no other sales like this in my area. Most consignment event websites have logos that are generic and not so professional in my opinion.
What sets you apart from your competitors?
We’re the first to do this in our area – we’re fresh and exciting!
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
We’re a new and exciting shopping experience – a mom’s lifesaver!
