Thanks for the design, my initial comments are:

1.
The logo seems to be hanging in space and doesn't quite seem at home in its current position. Perhaps if the background behind the image was darker or maybe the image moved?

2. Not sure about the tapered look; the bottom two bands are not as wide as the top band.

3. The footer part of the page takes up a lot too much space; almost a 1/3 of the screen is lost to a footer.

4. Not sure that the middle two sections are the righ colour; they dont quite emphasise the main body of text enough.

These are just initial impressions and not criticisms - thank you for the post.

Hello,
here's my entry. :)

Thanks for the design, comments are:

Having seen an alternative to the logo I have to admit I actually prefer the first one (sorry for changing my mind). I would just prefer it to be a little smaller. Top left corner is definitely the position for a logo.
I like the tab highlight on #7, good design showing clearly selected page - a tab should also always be highlighted on entry.
Not sure about palettes - I think I prefer the colurs in #5 although this is mainly because I believe there should be white background somewhere rather than all coloured.
Might be nice to slightly widen the band below the selected tab to provide a place for sub-site selection as per Amazon.
I'd like to have a tagline below the logo - not sure what text but 'Innovation through technology' is a start.

Many thanks - decision imminent (next 3 days)

Hi,

This is really beginning to look like the type of site I'm after. Good colours, good layout and I like the tagline on the logo.

Could you move the logo left slightly please (maybe halve the current distance between the left edge of the screen and the logo)?

Would it be possible to include a couple of sub-items of text in the selected tab bar to see what it would look like please?

Can I ask if you design would be supplied as html, html + css or just as image?

thanks :-)

Hi :)
My design will be supplied as html + css + photoshop file if chosen. :)

would you like your website to be centralized like this site (http://winnielim.com/test/html/index.html) or aligned to the left?

If centralized, the whole layout of the site, including the logo will be centered on the screen, so if the user have a large monitor, there will definitely be space between edge of the screen and the logo. Most websites are centralized now. :) Please let me know if you have any questions.

Here's is the revision of the main page.

Here's a subpage design to show how the sub-items will look like. :)

Anne thank you very much for your design but Wynlim blew me away on this occasion.
I would like html and photoshop files if possible please - where do we go from here?

Thank you both and thank you for providing a design I approve in quick time.
