Howdi...

Need a logo design for a site I am designing on behalf of a client.

Name: New Zealand Christian E-Directories
Colours: 2 only (at this stage) - Pastel colours
Feel: Have a Christian - New Zealand feel
Logo to be landscape - I do not want tall logos
Must be vector for printing

Require files in: Original File format (what ever program you use to make it) , EPS and PNG with transparent background.

I will be designing the website at the same time so I will post a sample of the site to show which direction I am headed.

Here is the link to the site design - www.demexdesign.com/nzce (http://www.demexdesign.com/nzce)

Deadline: ASAP - Please let me know if you wish to enter and I will wait for your entry. :)

Thanks for the submissions so far guys. Very quick indeed!

Comments from the client.

He likes the idea of a kiwi but would also like to incorporate a cross somehow. Maybe in the background.

Thanks - keep up the good work!

How's this?
Oh yeah... just in case it wasn't apparent... That's an olive twig in the kiwi's beak.
Please advise.

Hi guys,

This is the site design the logo is going to be placed in. (I will update the first post as well)

www.demexdesign.com/nzce (http://www.demexdesign.com/nzce)

Also my client has mentioned that he want E-Directories spelt this way and not eDirectories.

I am thinking a pastel orange/yellow and pastel blue will be a nice colour combination to use on the logo to match the site.

My client doesn't like the purple unfortunately. :(

Thanks guys

Thanks.

No scripts. Just CSS. :)

Hi Zoe,
What does your client think of the overall design?
Other than colours and the representation of "E-Directories"?
Which I can easily change tonight.

Or, should I move in a new direction?

Well you're going to run a links directory. Are you planning on doing all of that without a script?

He likes the idea of incorporating a Kiwi and a cross but I have a feeling he doesn't quite like the layout.

He did say that he is by no means a designer and really isn't sure what he wants.

Always makes life hard doesn't it.

He would like to see a few more designs to be able to get a better idea. So maybe it would be good to try a new direction if you wanted. I think if you try the blues/yellows etc that may help as well.

I have often found that colours can really make a huge difference. :)

LOL - der at me.

I thought you were commenting on the design. The programmer is using a program called in-link. www.in-link.net

I am not sure what it's like. I haven't used it myself.

Hi Eagle,

My client likes the colours and the layout of the name you have used.

He was hoping you could remove the pin and experiment with the Christian Fish symbol.

This is the link he sent me talking about the fish symbol.

Kimber: He didn't make any comments sorry. I am not sure he likes the direction you have taken. :(

Hi Demex,

Thanks..err pin? It's supposed to be a kiwi's head! heheh!

Anyway, I'll have a play with the fish symbol using the same style colours a bit later today...

Thanks for your feedback - always welcome, often essential!

Hi Demex

Your revisions based on the fish. I think the font works really well here with the new symbol...

Hi Everyone...

So far he is swaying towards Bill's bottom entry.

I think he likes the simplicity of the fish.

Just want to know if there will be any other entries?

I think the best thing I can suggest is to take a look at the site again

www.demexdesign.com/nzce (http://www.demexdesign.com/nzce)

and think of a simple design to match the site.
Remember I only want to use 2 colours

he liked the fish and cross symbols...

guys - I just put the logos up on the site to help my client decide on a winner.

If you would like to see how your logo looks on the site go here (http://www.demexdesign.com/nzce/) and click on the link in the top banner to move to the next page.

Hi again!

I've revised the fish's tail to 'suggest' a cross...at first glance, the cross shape registers with the eye first then brings the viewer onto the rest of the logo explaining what the site is about...hope you like! B)

Hi Everyone.

I want to thank you all for entering. I liked them all!

The winner has been chosen....

and that is...

pennyln - congratulations. :)

Your second design works well with the site and has simple style to it. :)

I will contact you via PM.
