Hello!

I am officially starting my own business and need a logo! The company name is McKenna Management, Inc. It is an association management company - meaning, we do meeting and trade show planning, newsletters, membership, listserv/web/database maintenance, financial/budgeting and more. I would like something that is professional and a little contemporary looking. Maybe a play on the company's acronym would work? Will be using the logo EVERYWHERE - letterhead, business cards, brochures, web site etc.

Happy to answer questions! Look forward to receiving your great ideas!

:) Pam McKenna

Here are two more concepts for your logo--the "I" is highlighted to symbolize the individual--both those you serve and the individual your company is.

taldo, jmberra 22 and julieT (2nd one) - can you show me how your logos would look when combined w/addresses - such as would be used in return addresses on #10 envelopes? and taldo and jmberra 22 - i need the inc in there. just put in any old address. thank you!

and i'm new to this - once i've selected one, am i given the font and colors so i can match it up w/my applications - business card etc?

thank you all = you're all so very talented!

Hi. Here is the revision...

Hi Pam,

Normally, fonts are used 'under licence'. That is, the designer may use the fonts to design a logo etc but may not redistribute it. The font is often converted to an 'object' or 'flattened' (rendered uneditable) before being submitted to the client.

Some so-called 'freeware' fonts can be used by anyone but some font designers insist that any individual who wishes to use the font must download it direct from their website (the logo designer in this case should then provide details of where to get it from). As with most art out there, there are many permutations of a typical licence and permissions vary wildy...some even state that the font cannot be used commercially, just for personal use...

In the case of my designs, I always try to use a freeware font if possible.

As for colour, the designer should embed specified colours in the graphic and provide written colour details (for the print house/bureau) to avoid any confusion.

Hope this helps! :)

tried posting earlier but i hit pm and guess that doesn't do it - ooops. jmberra22 - i'm leaning towards your graphic. is there spacing between the words - mckenna management, inc? if not, please add or make it look like there is. also, i don't want to emphaisize mckenna over the rest of the company name. can we put the whole name in bold? also, i would prefer the address centered but guess i'm doing that. can you possibly show me 2 logos - 1 w/changes above and 1 w/changes above but company name to right of the m's? thank you! i think i should be ready to decide after this!

great - i think #3 is it! but the second look i was trying to see was like follows:
MM with address to the right not below - as i'm typing this, i'm getting html code so not sure what this e-mail will look like even! if you can just create that one, because i'm horrible w/visual imaging, that would be great and i'll pick one of those 2.

I'll pay her and the 2 of you can work out the details of transferring the files via email or private message.

Thanks for choosing Design Outpost for your logo :)
