Hi everyone, here's what I think you need...

1a) Name of Company

foursevens
social media strategy and production
(note lower case)

1b)Company Tag Line or slogan:

(not selected yet, but please leave a space for it in the design and I'll fill it in later)

1c) Do you have a company logo?

Yes, it's at http://www.foursevens.com/newlogo.gif

1d) Do you have a corporate visual identity (a customized (non stock) logo and color scheme carried out throughout your office, stationery, business cards, etc.)?

The blue colour in the logo above, and the blue "radio waves" -- I'd like the radio waves (or some parts of it) to be a design element throughout the page.

1e) What is the nature of your business?: Briefly describe your products or services:

Social media consulting: blogs, audio podcast production, video podcast production, broadcasting, writing.

1f) Who is your target market? Who are you hoping to reach with your site?

Medium- to large-sized companies who want to target people through social media like blogs, podcasts, Facebook, YouTube, traditional writing, etc.
I have these primary services that I would like to showcase: Audio Podcast Production (clients: Intel Canada, HarperCollins), Video Podcast Production, Strategic Direction (clients: CBC Radio, Sequentia Communications), Podcast Network (see existing site for names/logos).

Website Details

1b) Do you have an existing website? If so, what is the URL?

http://www.foursevens.com
It currently appears to be more of a podcast network, which I no longer want to highlight (only show as a small part of my business)

2b) IMPORTANT: Please list at least 3 URLs (web addresses) of high quality sites that you like the look of (these do not have to be sites who’s business is similar to yours. It aids us in determining what your design style is.) Please consider layout, colors, navigation, graphics, and typography.

1. http://www.protolize.org/index.php (I like the big and simple look).

2. http://www.attensa.com/ Very professional looking; would appeal to my audience.

3. http://www.ning.com/ Simple, eye focuses well on primary areas.

3b) What colors or color schemes would you like?

#567eb9 is the colour of my logo.

4b) List the Navigation links for your Site:

PRIMARY:
Blogs (strategy and writing)
Podcasts (strategy and production)
Video (production)
Writing

SECONDARY
About
Clients
Partnerships
Blog
Contact Us

5b) What type of look are you trying to achieve? (e.g. clean, high-tech, conservative, warm, flashy, etc.)

Clean, simple, web 2.0.

6b) Please provide the addresses of competitors' sites, if possible:

http://www.thornleyfallis.com/
http://www.rogic.com/index.php

7b) Do you have any images for use in the design of your site? If not, do you have images, can you offer suggestions of what you type of imagery you feel would be most suitable for your website:

I'm open to ideas, but I'd like all images to have the same look and feel. Simple, clean icons. Please, no cheesy stock photography.

Deadlines and Deliverables

1c) What is the deadline for your template design?

Need final by this Monday. Will be online constantly, so I can give very quick feedback/approval.

2c) Will you require HTML coding? (Yes/No)

Yes

3c) If so, will you require it to be ONLY CSS layout? (Yes/No)

No

4c) How many pages coded will you require delivered?

Okay, what am I missing -- how come nobody's biting? This is a one-page site.

Hi - thanks Winlym,

I love this one. You've really hit it right on the nail with the colours and web 2.0 clean look.

The only change I'd like is to have the upper-left text in lower case (and in text, not images). Would also like some nice colour rollovers for the four links in the top right.

Could you also make a sidebar (right or left, whatever you think works best) called "Latest News", just put dummy text in there for now, but I'd like a RSS logo beside Latest News (I'll do an include to get content in there from a CMS)

Hi tmaffin,
am glad you like it. =) Will make the changes asap, but prior to that I would like to know if you prefer the website to be optimized for 800x600 or 1024x768 ?

I need to know if I should decrease the width of the four boxes, or just simply add the sidebar in if it's meant for a 1024x768 resolution (max width 960px)?

Thanks a lot. =D

1024x768 is great for me so just add it in the room you have there. Would also like a small box (1/4 the height of Latest News) under that Latest News that is labelled "Our Clients" and I'll pop logos in there.

Hi,
here's the revised design. =) Let me know what you think. I intend to code most of the text and headers as html text and not images, that's why I used mostly common fonts for the design. The browsers usually anti-alias text after a certain size. Do correct me if I am wrong. =P

LOVE IT! The only changes I'd like is that the "our clients" sidebar box should be in a 100% white background, and I think I'd like it to say "clients and partners" instead of "our clients"

And finally, I still want that orange RSS icon to be to the right of "latest news"

Other than that, we're good to go!

Hi!
I've revised the design accordingly. Let me know if it's okay. =) I apologize for missing out on the rss icon in my previous revision. :)

Last tony touchup-- could the RSS icon be aligned to the right of that column, and could the dotted line under clients & partners be actually above, as per the latest news? Only the box itself with logos needs to be in white. THe header can and should live in the regular background space.

Once that's done, consider that final approval and please feel free to generate the HTML, CSS, and graphics files required. :)

Thanks again!

Hi!
Here's the files. I've not tested it on IE6. Works fine on mac/pc firefox.

Let me know if you have any problems. :)

Hi there -- I love it! I've commented out some of the elements so I will be able to add them back when I have more content.

BUT there is a glitch. Please see http://www.foursevens.com/47bug.png to see what it looks like on a Windows IE6 setup.

Can this be fixed?

Hi!
IE6 is really quirky about css. :P After some sweat and tears, I've managed to fixed it! =D

Just replace the old css file with the attached one. :)

Let me know if there's any problems.

Please post a note here if all is well. :)

Thanks - that fixed it. Consider this one closed.

Incidentally, how much would you charge me to do a template for my Wordpress blog at www.todbits.com that would match the design you just did?
