We are a management consulting company that helps company presidents better understand how their company is really performing, then help them maximize their results and finally help them plan/execute an eventual sale of the company. In particular we focus on companies from startup to $50 million plus in revenues where finance is not their area of expertise. We turn finance from being a brake to an accelerator of results by improving financing, reporting, people, technology or planning. We are a business eye doctor, who finds things that other people miss, uncovering financial blind spots. In 70% of the cases, we find that companies are not doing as well as they expected. Even in other cases, we give them a better understanding on how they are really making money. Our point of distinctions are that we can draw on extreme experiences not many people have had (rescuing company days away from bankruptcy to eventually earn 56% net income after tax- turnaround situation; 400% growth in one year at another company- hypergrowth) plus we are very adept at using technology far beyond most financial people.

We have been in business for 15 years. About 3 years ago, we changed the name to Value Added Finance Resources. This name has served us well. However, people tell us that we deliver value way beyond finance. In addition, some prospects shut down when they hear finance in the name or it draws some pre-conceived notions. Finally, it is a long name and a bit chunky. I am the founder and came up with the name- I realize this is not one of my strong areas, plus I like to rely on people with expertise in areas that go beyond what I can offer.

As an alternative, I am looking for an abstract name although I would also be open to another functional name as well. My thought is to have a name that encompasses two parts about the company- light and value. We shed light on company results and we increase the company value.

One name that a marketing consultant has suggested is Pluris, which is latin or Greek for value. I would like to have some other name suggestions to consider. That is the project I am posting. More information on our company can be found at www.valueaddedfinance.com.

This is a top priority for us. I would like to have a fast turnaround on this, within a few days.

Sorry for my delay. I thought I had subscribed to the thread and did not, so no wonder I never saw emails. Thanks so much to everyone for your input and your creativity!

I would like to award it to Blue Cherry Graphics. There will still be some revision. We have tightened our tagline- We enable business owners to measure, maximize and monitize results.
