Hi Everyone,
Looking for an illustrative logo for a new children's music class called Little Musos. Design brief is below. Thanks for all contributions!
Project Summary:
Little Musos is a children's music class for kids in the 1-3 year age range. A parent or guardian will also attend with the child. The goal of the class is to expose young kids to a much broader variety of music than current classes and also to cultivate an early appreciation for all genres of music, not just kids songs. Each class will feature a group of real musicians (piano, drums, guitar and singers) performing a mix of fun kids songs along with classic songs by groups such as The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, etc. in addition to current contemporary hits, classical, reggae, etc.
Essentially, anything goes as long as it's fun, melodic and child friendly.
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Just the name: Little Musos
How long have you been in business?
New
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
I would like Little Musos to be thought of as a cool alternative to your standard music class. Kids music does not need to limited to "Wheels On The Bus" or "Hokey Pokey". Logo should appeal to parents who grew up listening to music and would now like to foster an early appreciation for good music in their kids.
What are your long term goals?
Establish a national program.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Aug 12th
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Young mothers, parents and young kids.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
I would like logo to incorporate the idea that this is for young kids (age 1 to 3) and that it includes real musicians playing real instruments. Perhaps a one year old (in diapers?) with a guitar or even better, a young kiddie band (guitar, drums, keyboard and singer). And because we are playing oldies such as Beatles, Monkees, etc. I thought it might be interesting for logo to have a bit of a retro 60's or 70's feel. A google image search of The Archies brings up that famous image of the band playing which is obviously much more involved than I need but I like the 70's look of the band setup and the type. Also, anything that might reference famous and familiar musical icons/images like The Beatles, etc. would be cool. Perhaps a takeoff of a famous Beatles album cover? Or maybe Little Musos written on a bass drum like the Beatles used to (as in this link - http://www.stickergiant.com/Merchant2/imgs/450/sb1683_450.jpeg) with young kids under the name?
Ideally, something classic yet contemporary.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Open to all
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
As listed above
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Cool, different, musicial, hip and fun. A great big sing-along for young kids and parents.
What is your tagline or slogan?
Real Musicians, Real Music, Real Fun. I'm not looking to incorporate this into logo though.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Children can benefit from being exposed to all different types of music at a young age.
Where will your new logo be used?
Flyers to advertise class, website.
What sets you apart from your competitors?
Real musicians playing real music and not just "Wheels On The Bus". Parents will also enjoy as it's music that they are familiar with.
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Good Vibrations!
