Hello all, this contest is to design recruiting cards for us. These cards will be the same size as a standard business card and double sided.

Front – the front side should have the following picture of a roll of toilet paper on it. Put a sentence on top of the toilet paper that says: Print Audit has the nicest toilet paper.

http://www.printaudit.com/304662_low.jpg

Put this sentence below the toilet paper: It’s the little things that make Print Audit a great place to work.

Space will be tight so feel free to shrink the roll of toilet paper if needed. You should also rotate the toilet paper so that it’s upright when the card is landscape, to match the picture on the back.

Back – The following picture of our employees should be put here. It should be converted to black and white.

http://www.printaudit.com/IMG_6807.JPG

On top of the picture should say: Someone has given you this card because they thought you would be a good candidate to work at Print Audit.

You may need to fade the top of the picture to make the sentence more readable.

This should also be fit on there somewhere: Please visit http://www.printaudit.com/careers to apply.

You may want to add a footer bar of something to card and put that sentence on there.

Again space will be tight, please do what you can to make it fit without looking too cramped or busy.

Space permitting our logo could be put on there somewhere -- it can be small:

Thanks!

I'm working on a design now. :)

Thanks, wynlim, good start. I prefer side 2 of the first design, although the sentence on top is a little hard to read.

I would rotate the toilet paper 45 degrees to the right, so that it's facing down. It looks unnatural as you have it now. Also I wonder if we should make the paper roll black and white, instead of color, so that it matches the rest of the card?

Can post revisions at actual size? It's hard to judge how readable the fonts will be at actual size when you post large proofs. Thanks.

Hello, this is Version # 1.
I tried to put the photo in front as it is for natural and make it in black and white to make same color tone with the back side.

Any comments will be appreciated.
Thank you.
LutFi :)

Hi, this is version # 2.

In front side, I flipped the toilet paper and put the text on left side.

In back side, put the logo in lower left.

Thankyou.
LutFi :)

Hi,
I don't know if you mistook the first two entries for mine, but just to clarify, they're logoholik's entries. :)

here's my entry, not sure if you'll be keen to explore 2 color options but i thought i'll include them in for your reference. :)

Sorry, yes my original feedback was for Logoholik.

Giant, yours looks pretty busy. I think mostly due to the different font you're using.

Wynlim, I don't like teal :) Our colors used to be teal but we've moved on to blue. I like the front of your card, however I would make the card full bleed. Your fonts look pretty faded. It may just be the quality of the image you posted.

Thanks.

Lutfi, I prefer version #2. I would make the Print Audit logo a little smaller.

So far I probably like Lutfi's the best, because it's clean and easy to read.

Logoholik, are you working on a revision? My original feedback was for you -- I accidentally said wynlim. I would also make the 'Print Audit has the nicest...' sentence stand out more.

Boggins, I don't like the shining effect you used on the toilet paper, but I do like your side 2 (the black version). I think your fonts on side two are going to be hard to read at actual size though. Can you make them bigger somehow? You can make the logo smaller.

Everyone else please keep your designs are is for now.

Thanks.

Sorry, i've managed to miss your feedback.

Here is a revision...

also a pdf version, so you can print it out on your office printer for better proof.

Cheers,
Bojan

Logoholik, I'm would replace the fade to white effect with a black bar like you have on the bottom and put the writing on that. Also, I think the 'Someone has given you...' sentence would look better if it wasn't italics.

Thanks.

Boggins, the back is looking good. The text at the bottom left is still a bit awkward though. Can you change it to say: To apply, please visit www.printaudit.com

It would be good if we could have at least the 'To Apply, please visit' together on one line. The logo can be made a bit smaller if that helps.

On the front, can you try have the toilet paper on the left side and then the two other sentences on the right?

Logoholik, let me think about yours for a bit.

Thanks.

What if you moved the nicest toilet paper sentence down so it's close to centered vertically and then had the little things sentence run across the bottom?

do you need them in black and white? or color?

trevorh

Black and white. I'm curious what just the group picture on the back would like in color, if it's easy to do.

Boggins wins! Thanks for your work everyone.

Boggins, I like the color, but let me think about which I like better, the blue or the black. In the meantime, can I see what the nicest toilet paper sentence looks like in caps? Thanks.

That's better. One last request, I've decided I like the blue one best -- can I see what the front side would look like in blue too? Maybe the 'It's the little things...' sentence could be put on a black bar to match the back.

Looks good, my only concern is the size now. What's the actually size you have it set up at? I think standard business card size is 2" x 3.5". I want to make sure the text is readable at that size.

bogglins
08-20-2007, 04:06 PM
the size is 2x3.5

the final card is without white border...

I can send you a lowered quality of the file.. in pdf.. you can print it to check the font print size.. just let me know your email address..

...btw, sorry.. my english is not so good.. (non-native speaker) but, I just want to make sure if "Print Audit has great toilet paper." is correct..

thanks!
