We are two women writing and publishing a series of books for women between the ages of 20-40 on a variety of topics. The name of our book collection is something similiar to "GIRL-TALK" so as you can see women communicating with women is an important part of our idea. We're looking for something hip, funky and creative. We really like the colors hot pink & black but we're open to your creative suggestion. Come up with something sexy and sophisticated that reflects communication between modern women. This logo may go all the way to the cover of the books and will definitely be used for stationary type supplies.

Thanx for all your creative ideas in advance and we'll be making a decision by Sep. 30

Sorry guys. The contest holder made an error on the name. It is GIRL-TALK.

Hi guys, thank-you so much for these initial entries, and I'm sorry it has taken us so long to get back to you with some feedback. This is not exactly what we're looking for in either case. The hot pink and black are fine but the figure of the woman is not what we're looking for on either design. For inspiration check out the Stilla cosmetics website and then think, Stilla cosmetics meets American Splendor if you will. The second design is getting warmer, but again, the figure of the woman is not right, and although I do like the font you chose for the 2nd design, I don't think it's the way I would go for this project. Try using a thinner, more streamlined look - in other words, a little less blocky. I'm by no means a designer so I hope this feedback helps you get a little vision of what I want to see. Looking forward to the revisions...thanx!

Incidentally, there have been a lot of looks at our contest, but not many replies...any suggestions?

Hi everyone, thank-you for the new submissions. Here's the feedback I've gotten -first of all, ED, we like the script type font and some of us like the little girlie leaning over it smelling the flower, however, could you funk it up a bit? The girlie sort of makes me think of the mud-flap girls on big trucks, however others in my organization were really into it. I myself prefer your first design so, maybe there is a way to blend the two? OK, JULIE - Love the logo, get rid of the smiley face girl, too cute for our taste ... looking for something very simple here, so maybe you're on the right track with just the words and no graphic... and finally Huhhso (sorry, you didn't give a name) this is very Stilla cosmetics meets American Splendor which is exactly what I asked for ... unfortunately, this won't fit on top of my letterhead. We will be having another contest soon for images for our website development and possibly an e-book so hold on to it, it may work for that.

Ok, hope this helps all...thanx for your effort - let me know if we can provide any more info to help with the creative process.

Oh my god, I'm so impressed, here's my final feedback, we will be deciding by the end of this week. OK, first of all - RAJA - ditch the flowers and give me a contrasting color background behind girl just like you did for talk, maybe the background can sort of blend in a creative way, like the hot pink running into the black or something...DYNAGIRL, I like it, can this font you used be outlined at all to make it pop a little more? and PENNYLYN - YES! I favor the design on the upper left, can you show me a different font, something slinkyish?

oops, NFRACK, sorry ... this could be cool, can you turn the girlie forward and give me a bolder font?
