What text should be included in the main part of the logo? Erin Marie Photography

What type of product or service do you offer? Wedding and portrait photography

How long have you been in business? 3 years

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity? Use as a primary focus in our "brand". We currently market ourselves as "Creative" photographers and most of our clients hire us for that artistic creativity.

What are your long term goals? Project a tad more sophistication so that we may tartget a more refined client

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? August 15

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience - Age: 23-33 Sex: Female Occupation: Services Sector and Professionals

Who would you like to add to your audience? Target upper echelon of professionals

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like? Logo should exhude both creativity, artistry and eloquence. While I would like something contemporary I don't want it to be overbearing.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?) a soft shade of blue and off-white (pearlish perhaps).
The light blue colors exhude happiness while the pearl can be identified with longevity and "class" (WE ARE OPEN TO ALTERNATE COLORS)

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? No.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? Creative and artistic. We would like our logo to convey to our audience that we are established photographers but have not depleted our artistic vision.

What is your tagline or slogan? n/a

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? Be different yet uncompromising. We are trying to convey the message that resutling wedding photography images can be unique yet afford a sense of tradition at the same time.

Where will your new logo be used? Will be part of our "brand" hence will be used on everything we do (all our marketing material, postcards, large 16x20 display panel etc etc)

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?

List competitive URLs if possible

http://www.artfulweddings.com

http://www.eikonphoto.com/index2.html <-- We like this logo..it's simple..artful, playful yet looks classy

What sets you apart from your competitors? The fact that we take painstaking steps to assure top quality images. We do not batch process our digital images. Having migrated from film 6 years ago we employ some of the same techniques to retouch individual digital images. We pride ourselves in treating each individual image as just one element in an entire story. We also view our clients more like partners and friends. We truly believe the more we get to know our clients and establish a friendly rapport, the better the resulting images.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company: Artistry through a lens

Pracas,

Love the innovation but I had a hard time figuring it out what the upper portion was when I first looked at it (didn't know it was an elephant until I read your post). Is is possible to tweak this so that it does not resemble an animal?

BTW for all those submitting designs. My wife and I will be poring over the submissions in the evenings over the next few days and giving feedback. AND we thank all in advance for submitting designs!

Offbeat,

Thanks for your work. My wife and I are drawn to your version 3 and 4 Can we see Version3 and Version4 in a darker shade (especially the "photography" text as we had issue reading it..we're getting old :-)

or possibly just a thicker font may work to help the readability.

Much appreciated!

Blessiville,

Is it possible to see a version of this that is less "techie". Maybe rounded edges and a definite softer shade of blue. Thanks!

Elogonics,

Can we get a version with a different logo. The script "em" didn't work for us.

thanks!

Unorthodox,

The designs were unique but reminded us a bit like the Enron logo for some odd reason. We appreciate your submissions.

Tini,

Novel concept. Can we see a different version that exudes more sophistication (something a discerning client can identify with). Much appreciated!

Offbeat,

Thx for the edits. Looks like we are going with your design. We would like to see version 6 with the following:

The top blue/gold a tad lighter...especially the blue.

The bottom grey/blue a tad darker.

Also...is it possible to see the logo with the "cube" to the left of the text.

Do you also design brochures? (we will need to update ours upon selection of the final color scheme)

Thx
Carlos

Offbeat,

We are going to stick with the previous top one in Version 6. (the blue/orangy top logo in version 6).

No other edits required. The $ is yours. How do we proceed?
