Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo? the words - "Load Pipe" with or without the space between

What type of product or service do you offer? project management and deal negotiations for the import export business

How long have you been in business? this website is brand new - has not yet been introduced to the public but under serious IT development/

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?

What are your long term goals? Serve as a deal negotiation, project management, group collaboaration site for long term complex transactions online

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? 7 days- Aug 23

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience - the first industry Load Pipe is planning to target is the Import / export industry, international business of exchanging goods. This industry has generations who are still not 100% adapting the computer age, so this project must be straight forward and FUN/Easy to use.

Who would you like to add to your audience? na

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like? Fun place to negotiate deals and track deals online. Simple, straightforward, fun, and safe.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?) - color theme is on http://www.loadpipe.com - black, avacado, white. Why, we feel that is the best combination for this site style.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? No, not sure if this should just be a logo of words, or any actual symbolism.

My idea is this -

LOAD = funnel of massive amount of data, amount of communication (emails, chats, faxes, phone calls) all funnels into this LOAD at the beginning
PIPE = stramlining, centralizing all this data, organizing it, planning it out over time.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Organized
Safe,
Fun
reliable - keeps your data/project online

What is your tagline or slogan?
none yet

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Find a product but need a safe, online, 3rd party management system, come here and lets "make a deal" happen.

Where will your new logo be used?
website, marketing material - brochures, flash, etc

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Competitors are project management / collaboration sites - basecamphq.com possibly, not directly, as this is deal management.

List competitive URLs if possible

What sets you apart from your competitors?
This is filling a Niche of import export, as we grow we'll apply this to other industries directly - but we target and cater to one specific industry and allow those users to feel they are in a system formatted for their industrys needs.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Find a deal, make a deal, track a deal, repeat a deal - CLOSE MORE SALES, make more deals a reality - load pipe

I am open to different opinions, but I am thinking it is a 2 word logo, not sure of symbolism...but

Load = manufacturing, construction, work and production..all piling up and then the final product is ready to be ...
pipe = ....put into a pipe...smoothly transition from one company to another....

not sure if that can be shown in an image or in a play on the words themselves?

Thanks to everyone for the designs.

To all - think this may be better designed without an image? and just the font?

also, thinking the logo color shouldn't be the avacado color, but a blue and black / white

offbeatdesign - like the idea of the flow - but afraid its too "plumbing"

nhr - this is a cool design on the different lines straightening out. Can we try in blue/black instead of avacado?

quetizo - thinking too many colors

unorthodox v.1 - like v.2. below

unorthodox v.2 - this is a good concept, but too much going on - can it be simplified?

blesseville v.2 - thanks for the second look, seems too "sciency"

To all - i'm showing this around to colleagues...and keep getting "plumbing" - and obviously that is not what the business is about...though it does have the pipe in the word.

NHR - thanks for the variations - do like the boxed in version the best, let me get more feedback from others.

Taldo - simple yet effective. Can you try these 2 variations:

- kern the letters on "load"
- kern the letters, and CAP LOCK load.
