Adregate is an ad management web application that lets web publishers management advertisements on their site.
How long have you been in business?
Adregate is a new application that has yet to be released publicly.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Users will be website owners such as bloggers or web content producers.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Something that can stand on its own without text. Many times "adregate" will be included with it, but I would like something that isn't completely reliant on having the name beside it. Ultimately I don't want a text-based logo but something that is more icon based with text that goes with it.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
A brighter blue color. The blues in the current "placeholder" logo here (http://adregate.com) are what I have in mind. The deep blue of the background is what the logo needs to fit with.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Not really. I do want to get away from the speech bubble icon.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Simplicity.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
That Adregate is a new/simple way to manage and sell ads for your site. You don't have to be a computer nerd to figure out how to get ads on your website.
Where will your new logo be used?
Primarily in online mediums.
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Openads is my primary competior. I don't really like theirs at all. It's just not memorable and it's text based.
List competitive URLs if possible
openads.org
What sets you apart from your competitors?
Simple. Nothing to install on your server. Purposefully less features.
UPDATE: Something I posted in some feedback below I think will apply to everyone, so here's that comment posted up here.
I don't really want just a play on the letter "a". I want an icon that conveys the product and what it does...which is deliver marketing/advertising to customers. The speech bubble I currently use is sort of an example of that by showing "communication"...which is ultimately what advertisers are wanting.
