Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Crown Painting
What type of product or service do you offer?
Residential/Commercial Painting Co
How long have you been in business?
Officially, I am new.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
I don't want to establish myself as the low priced person in town.
I want to brand my company into an easily recognizable entity.
I will be using the same style of logo for my more established company that provides another service.
What are your long term goals?
To dominate a small target market and duplicate that over and over.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Aug 31st.
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
$100,000+ annual income.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
Same.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
I am not creative when to comes to this. I do know that when I see it I will know.
In general I am looking to use the same type of logo that will have interchangeable parts to it to use for my other logo. That company is Crown Restoration, Inc. The main customer there is insurance agents, adjusters and other larger contractors.
I do want to incorporate a crown design into the logo. I am looking for (I think) something that is a bit more subtle. Not so traditional. Something classy but not elegant.
One of the important things with the design is that it should be easy to read from signage(namely the word painting). I want make sure that when people see it they quickly recognize it as a painting company. If I am doing a job and have a sign in some one's yard I don't want people guessing what I do.
I like the way the interstate logo is on this sight:
interstaterestoration.com
The style of interstate sign is something that I imagine, but I really don't want to keep designers from using their creativity.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Yes, royal blue and red.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
A crown. Again, it can be subtle. Not a traditional pointy crown though.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
A step above you average painting company. Not just guys that slop paint on the wall. Rather a real professional company that is respected.
What is your tagline or slogan?
Someone pitched "Professional care doesn't come in a can"...i don't know, I think I like that.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
That we are better than everyone else. HA HA, I liked saying that!
Where will your new logo be used?
Mostly printed material, flyers and such.
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
My competitors are guys in beat up trucks that never show up on time. Oh wait, they're not my competitors.
What sets you apart from your competitors?
I think I covered it.
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Who else will do what they say they will do, on-time, cleanly and will a full guarantee?
