The Coffee and Coconut Company is in start up phase in the (consumer) marketing of organic arabica coffee and virgin coconut oil produced by indigenous farmers in remote areas of Papua New Guinea. The brand name for both product lines is 'Niugini Gold'. Sales of the products will be via an internet marketing campaign and we will be looking for web site designers closer to pre launch. The logo design will hopefully represent the raw material aspects of coffee beans and coconuts and most importantly the human element being the farmers who grow the fruit. The brand and company name needs to be incorporated in the logo text.
Exotic and Tropical is the image we are endeavouring to convey. Please let me know if there is any further info needed to help with the process.

What text should be included in the main part of the logo?

1. NIUGINI GOLD

Hi Djaka

Wow, very striking! Can you think about trying to make the face more friendly - he looks like a bit of a warrior. Green and blue colours could also be added to brighten it. What do you think?

Thanks Titania

Its getting a little closer to the kind of image we are seeking. But could we see more tropical blue's and greener greens. PNG is in the Wet Tropics and the colors are bright and strong.

Hi Fabian, Nice take but could you think about incorporating more coffee beans and coconuts or coconut trees in symbolic form.

Hi Djaka, thanks for the color changes You have captured the exotic nature well but we are concerned the image does not portray a tropical, warm and friendly feeling.

Hi Logoholik. Really looking forward to see if you can develop further on your first idea with beans and coconut inkeeping with your first nice clean concept.

Got to thinking that a simplified design, with the same islander feel might work better.

Hi Fabain, This last one is getting interesting. Perhaps have the trees reversed swaying in around the cup to give it symetry and maybe the ladies face appearing on the cup??

Fabian

that a great idea...did you mean something like this?

Hi Fabian, Its looking better. Just a query about the swirl of green below the cup. Not sure what it signify's but it looks okay.

Hi Titania, prefer your first version - it will fit better on business cards and letterheads etc.

Any other ideas anyone. Need to wrap this up tomorrow Sept 12.

Hi Fabain, Could you see if you can add two more colours to the image being sky blue and a deep red. Perhaps the blue could be a background effect? Also the type font used for the company name at the base - we really like what Titania used in her's.

Cheers

Does that mean you want me to change the custom font I designed for " NIUGINI GOLD" to one like Titania's or do you mean the tagline?

coconut
09-17-2007, 05:18 PM
The Niugini Gold font is great. Just The Coffee and Coconut Company.

Fabian

Added some more colour and changed the tagline font.

coconut
09-19-2007, 05:29 AM
Hi, The tagline font is better but I would prefer the colour (blue) as background to the main body of the logo like a sky background -but not in the tagline. Perhaps the red could be just used as the tagline font colour.

Cheers

Hi Fabian, I think we are finally there. One last touch to the coconut tree's - please make the tree trunk/stem colour the same as the brown bean "O" you used in the word 'Gold". A final question. Do you reckon the tagline font is sized too small? I am wondering if it will be readable when the logo is reduced to fit business cards?

Cheers

Fabian
09-28-2007, 01:55 AM
Hey Coconut,

I'll get right onto the trunk colour change shortly. The tagline is way to thin to be used in business cards,I'll add some more weight to it and see how it looks.Have you thought about leave the tagline off on smaller items and using it as a separate piece?

coconut
09-28-2007, 02:02 AM
Hi, I think you might be right about leaving it off or spliting it up on cards etc.

Fabian
09-28-2007, 02:10 AM
Here you go.The smaller one is the size I would use for business cards, the tagline is readable...only just.

What do you think?

coconut
09-28-2007, 02:18 AM
Yep -we will leave it off on small pieces.
