hi,
Fast turnaround required

closing date 1st October

I am a computer games retailer and i am opening a new store I need a large poster designed it will be 17 foot wide x 4 foot high.

I also require some header boards ( when u go into a store they are the signs above the products)

our company logo can be viewed at computerparadise.co.uk
.We would only want our logo used and not the words Computer Paradise...

Header Boards

There are 6 required approx printed dimensions are 41"wide x 12"high

1. No text Just logo
2. Playstation
3. Playstation 2
4. Game Cube
5. XBox
6. Pccd rom

Please use the font styles and logos of the relevant manufacuters of these products ( we will then obtain their authorisation). Plus your own ideas so we end up with an instantly identifiable sign that is unique to us.

Poster

The large poster as mentioned above is the difficult one our company colour is blue and you can see from our logo. The poster is going to cover a large white cupboard behind the counter. It needs to be fairly non specific so it will not go out of fashion too quickly. Yet it needs to be pretty cool, bear in mind we are a video games store so we appeal to a youthfull trendy market.

I will check back twice a day am and pm (uk time) to give my comments on all work if applicable. The artwork will need to be supplied in a EPS file format with outlined text.

good luck

Since it sounds like you're planning 4color CMYK graphics, can you provide specs from your printer? It'll speed things up on the designers end and ensure a print ready file.

Also, are you looking for raster (like a photograph) or vector (line drawing)? If raster, printer specs are almost critical due to the super large size.

spoke to the printers yes it will be a raster and they have said 400dpi 1/4 size would be great they will handle everything else.

thanks

Hello Tariq,
Are these what you're looking as far as "header boards" go?
These were all designed to be 41" x 12".
They are, right now, in Vector format, so they can be scaled up or down without any loss of image quality. If you printed cannout take these files, either in CorelDRAW, Adobe Illsutrator, or Macromedia Freehand, I can easily export it to Photoshop (raster), but I find it hard to think that your printer couldn't take these other files.

If you like these signs, could you kindly double-check with you printer, please and thank you. The only reason I would ask is file-delivery. With vector files being drawn with math, the file sizes are much smaller and can easily be delivered online. Raster files are much larger in size, and the files may need to be delivered on CD.

Aside from all that, please let me know what you think of these signs.

Also, I'm not exactly sure what is to be on the 17 foot x 4 foot sign.

Please advise.
Thanks,
Kimber.

hi Kimber

As far as header boards go thats the right directection although i dont like the bubbles. The background is where the work needs to go.

Our printer's use illustrator.(eps file format)

Can you give me an idea of how large the file sizes would be as im running against the clock and postage would not be an option perhaps i could arrange some ftp space or something.

As for the large poster I can't be much help as I don't have a set idea what would you expect to see on this large cupboard behind the counter of a video games store?

Sorry could not be more help

Not a problem...
I'll work on something.

As far as the file sizes, go... if your printer can take illustrator files, there should be absolutely no trouble with online delivery.

Hey there! Here's the design for the five headers. If you want a different style or anything added or taken off, just say the word. I'll do them promptly. This is a simple but effective design, I'm working on a slightly more personalized design just in case you want something a little different.

hi huhhso,

quite interesting ...
I would like to see it without the arrows and the logo to somehow look built up so it stands out from the back ground.

and somehow the text "for the ultimate gamer" is ok. But it does not seem to fit with the background perhaps a font / colour change might help

hi ChristianSanfiel,

I like the headerboard designs although we cant use black as the background colour it would absorb too much light and make the shop look too dark see if it works as well with a lighter colour.

I'm definatly looking forward to the more personalised design.

A variation...

huhhso

couple of things
Not keen on the white stripe, or the matrix style text.

I like the C.P gold logo.

What are the black things?
(maybe redo them to look like joypads?)

Need's to be borderless so the installers can wrap it over edge's

much prefer the text on the left although the left panel seems disconnected from the design
