We are a new company looking for a logo and open to all suggestions from you creative designers.

Deadline:
September 20th

What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
InventWise

What type of product or service do you offer?
Services for inventors. Initially our focus is on market research, specifically market research reports, focus groups, invention assessments, surveys. We plan to expand into website development, business plan assessment, and selling inventor-related products.

How long have you been in business?
<2 months

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Have our brand/logo give our company a sense of high-quality, credibility, and trustworthiness. The logo must be catchy and memorable.

What are your long term goals?
Become known for our high-quality service offerings specifically designed for inventors.

Audience Profile:
Inventors – 75% male, college educated, moderate to high income, ages 30-59, optimistic

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:

What type of logo would you like?
Memorable, easy to describe, professional but catchy.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Dark blue, dark green, any other colors that would project an image of high-quality, professionalism. We’d like to have at least two colors in the logo to provide a contrasting effect (i.e. see World Innova logo (http://www.worldinnova.com) ).

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
NO LIGHT BULBS in the logo. They are overused in the invention industry.

Communication Strategy:

What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Integrity, trust, quality, credibility, confidentiality.

What is your tagline or slogan?
None

Where will your new logo be used?
Website, business cards, postcards, banners, newsletter.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Harshaw Research: http://www.harshawresearch.com/ - not a good logo
Wisconsin Innovation Center: http://academics.uww.edu/business/innovate/ - not a good logo
Product Exposure Services: http://pxsi.com/ - not a good logo
Invention Home: http://www.inventionhome.com/ - pretty good logo
Patent Search Express: http://www.patentsearchexpress.com/ - okay logo

What sets you apart from your competitors?
We provide high-quality independent, credible, third-party research that is in the inventor’s best interest.
Target independent inventors who are comfortable using web-based services.
Corporate Sponsors: Our corporate sponsors include an invention marketing company (http://ideatango.com), inventor licensing agent (http://www.worldinnova.com), and an online inventor community (http://www.icaninvent.com).

State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Savvy tools that give inventors objective results.

THANKS TO ALL DESIGNERS IN ADVANCE!!

We like many of the logos. Does anyone have something around the theme "the missing piece of the puzzle"? We'd be interested to see one like that too. Thx.

Also, I think our slogan will be:
"Invent Smarter, InvenWise."

Maybe that will help...

Thanks for all the logo concepts. It was tough deciding but we like OffBeatDesign's square logo the best.

OffBeat, could we make some minor changes to the look? First, could you break up blue the square into 3 blue squares. Could you also make the square less flat by adding a bit of pizazz (shadow, 3d, or something like that). And make the orange text a bit darker since it's hard to read at first glance. Thanks.

Thanks so much. Here are some options. Let me know if you need anything else.

Jeff, we're going in the right direction. Could we make the square smaller? Pls give us a couple options again.

Oh yea, of those variations, we like the first.

Thanks Bryan. With each design we're required to show a solid color (no shading or gradient) version, so that's why you see them repeated on every design. Here are a few more variations.

Jeff,
We like the first version. Could you try more variations of that one as follows, we want to see how these look:
- make the blue squares smaller than the single orange square
- could you rotate the squares so that its like a diamond w/ the 3 blue squares on top (kinda looks like an arrow pointing up)

Thanks for working with us, the client is happy how these have turned out.
