The RiderDown Foundation is a Non-profit 501c3 organization that helps injured off road motorcycle riders and their families. We need to design helmet stickers that will reflect the amount of monthly support we are receiving from an individual rider/racer. Such as a sticker that says "RD10 2007" which would represent a person giving $10 a month to RiderDown in 07, and/or "RD20 2008" which would represent $20 a month for 08 and so on. We need for these stickers to be of the latest design trends so that today’s racers think they are very cool and for a good cause and must show their support.

You are invited to go to our website at www.riderdown.org which may be helpful to you in understanding our cause and therefore help in the design of these stickers. Also, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to email me at David@RiderDown.org at any time.

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo? RiderDown Foundation and/or RiderDown.org in Copperplate gothic bold font.

What type of product or service do you offer? We help injured off road motorcycle riders and their families financially and emotionally,

How long have you been in business? Over 2 years.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity? For us it’s not a new identity, it’s more of an effort to expand awareness and generate more residual monthly donation to our cause.

What are your long term goals? To generate $10 per month from 10,000 supporters.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? October 15th.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience: Off road riders and their families that donate to different fundraisers and raffles that we have going on.

Who would you like to add to your audience? Off road riders and their families that would like to donate on a monthly ongoing bases for this cause.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like? We have a logo which can be seen at www.riderdown.org for ideas to help in the design of the sticker.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?) The stickers could be in different colors such as yellow for Suzuki, red for Honda, orange for KTM, green for Kawasaki and blue for Yamaha. Or all of those colors included in one sticker design. We are pretty open to ideas.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? A motocross bike and rider.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? A community of families that help and support the injured riders through the RiderDown Foundation.

What is your tagline or slogan? Helping Riders Up

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? Whoever is displaying this sticker is a monthly supporter of the RiderDown Foundation in the amount of $10 or $20, etc.

Where will your new logo be used? It’s a sticker attached to a helmet or the back window of the donor’s truck or car.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos? We don’t really have any competitors. We support any foundation that also help injured riders. The one other foundation that we really like is Road 2 Recovery. They mainly help professional racers where we help amateur riders and racers.

List competitive URLs if possible

What sets you apart from your competitors? We help the injured amateur riders and their families.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company: Our Mission Statement:

The RiderDown Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping responsible off road motorcyclists and ATV racers who have been injured while riding. Proceeds are used to provide assistance to the riders and their families when faced with medical expenses and related issues.

Thanks for the designs....

I really like the motorcycle/rider that was done by squarelogo, but overall I like the upper sticker design done by freetime the best. Can we work on that some?

Another thought....could we add something like "Helping Riders Up on a Monthy Bases" or "Monthly Supporter"? It might be to many words for a sticker, but I need to see it to know for sure.

Thanks again,

David

freetime - My meeting the other day with the other board members ran short of time so we will be discussing the sticker project during this weeks meeting. I will hopefully have some ideas to share with you later this week.

Thanks,

David

Freetime….

Hi Greg,

We had our meeting and received some great response to your sticker design. After a long discussion we came up with the following adjustments which should make this sticker everything we need for it to be.

1. Remove the RD20 and slide the year to the center
2. Remove the RiderDown Foundation and replace it with Helping Riders Up.

In addition, where it says Monthly Supporter we also want a sticker that says just Supporter.

Then, we would like to see the stickers in Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Our reasoning for all this is that we can use these stickers for both our monthly supporters and our supporters which make lump sum donations. Then the different colors will signify the level of support we are receiving.

Do not hesitate to call with any questions or further explanation.

Thanks,

David

Hey David! Here are those changes. The PMS colors that I used are the metallic colors. I'm guessing you'll probably run these on reflective material?

Wow, that was fast.....thanks.

Can you show those different colors with the black bike/rider/etc. just like the top sticker which I think is perfect other than color.

Here's one with the biker the same color as the sticker

Here's the one with the black rider, etc. On Row A, I'm not sure if metallic inks can be done in a gradient. You would need to contact the printer about that. So I gave Row B and Row C as variations.

Wow again.....I'll talk to a printer and get back with you....ASAP.

Thanks,

Any word from the printer? Just checking in.

I talked to the printer and you are right about the metallic ink and the gradient.

Row C is the sticker we like the best.

I have also been out of town since last Thursday.

Where do we go from here???

I guess I need from you whatever is necessary for the printer.
Can I also get it with a 2009 for the next year?
Can I contact you in the future for 2010 stickers and so on?
Will I be able to adjust the size without any problems?

Thanks for all your help,

David
