This is the first time I've used this service. I'm rebranding my photography studio. At the moment I operate under my own name: Amy Stone Photography. I want to rebrand under the new company name Jady Images. So, I'm looking for a new logo and a new look. While I didn't put this here I am hopeful that the winning designer would work with me to put together my basic information kit with this logo. I'm not sure if that should be a separate project or if I can negotiate independently with the winning designer after.
I look forward to seeing the designs. And now, here's the form. Please feel free to ask any questions you might have.
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Jady Images
in the final product I'd like two versions one with just the company name and the other with the phone number and email also as a part of the design.
www.jadyimages.com
(305) 555-1111 (clearly this isn't the real number)
What type of product or service do you offer?
Portrait and Event Photography
How long have you been in business?
3 years
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
I want to showcase a full-service photography studio.
What are your long term goals?
I'm growing the studio beyond my own name so that I can grow and grow and grow.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
I would love to wrap this up within 2 weeks. So the deadline is October 11.
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
My clients are almost all women between the age of 25-35 looking for wedding, or family photography.
Who would you like to add to your audience? Well -- I think that honestly women are the deciders in hiring family photographers in mose cases but yes of course I'd like to reach more of them.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
I want a professional, elegant, beautiful logo.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
In my own mind when I see this logo it's green and cream. But I'm not locked into that. My favorite color is actually red but for some reason I'm looking to move away from that.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
No. I don't want cameras or anything like that. I'd like to focus on the name really.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
I would like to convey a professional, elegant image. I'm rebranding the studio. It is currently my own name and there is a very personal connection that goes with that I would like to keep that personal connection while moving away from my name.
What is your tagline or slogan?
I don't do taglines or slogans :-)
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Jady Images is a full-service photography studio.
Where will your new logo be used? Everywhere that logos go, my website, business cards, marketing materials, postcards, yadda yadda.
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos? There are zillions maybe kazillions photographers out there.
List competitive URLs if possible
You can see my current logo at www.amystonephotography.com to see what I have now. I can't really think of any other photographers who aren't using their own name to use as an example. There are a lot I just am not thinking of them at the moment.
What sets you apart from your competitors? What separates photographers is always their portfolios in my opinion. But I specialize in custom photography capturing real interaction and emotion in beautiful portraiture. I create an environment and experience where people relax and are happy so I strive to get naturally relaxed and happy portraits.
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
This one has me stumped but here goes:
I work to capture your family in portraits as beautifully and naturally as you see them yourself.
