Heya all :)
I need a background made with an action called Honeycomb. Unfortunately, it isn't compatible with my version of Photoshop (grrrr!) I'm making a site for a friend (for free) and so I'm posting here just for help with the background. If you have PS6 and could help me out, I'd really appreciate it :)
The action is attached below.
I'll help you out. I just never used an action before. If you can walk me through, I'll create that background for you. I'm sippin' scotch and doing some research online, will br around for about an hour...

Well, its morning here now (I posted that in the late evening)...
If you're still up to it, here's how to do an action in Photoshop 5.5 (I'm assuming 6 is the same)
Click on Window - Show Actions
Actions tab palette will appear (its usually with the History and Layers tabs)
On the right side there is a black triangle, click on that and from the submenu that comes up click on Load Action...
Then (assuming you saved the one I attached in your Photoshop actions directory (Adobe/Goodies/Photoshop Only/Actions) then you can load it from that screen. Then supposedly you just hit play, and it will generate that image for you.
Thanks Raja :)

Hi Sparkie, I have Photoshop 7 which I barely know how to open ;) but I'm trying to help you out. I've gotten to the part about playing the loaded action. I can't play the actual folder, but when I try to play the Pattern (Run first), I get the error that the custom shape isn't available. I'll keep trying if you can talk me thru it or maybe it'll be easier if someone who knew what they're doing comes along.

Hmm. the only instructions I have about the custom shapes is to make sure they're loaded. I looked in my PS 5.5 instructions and couldn't find Custom Shapes anywhere, so maybe it's a feature in the newer version. I'm downloading a PS7 trial now to see what you all are seeing. Will let you know how I progress *crosses fingers* :)

 Yes!! I've figured it out! And I got my background :)
Here's how it was done:
On the custom shapes dropdown menu you only have a certain amount to start with. Up in the corner is the black arrow button where you can load more. I loaded one called "shapes.csh" (in the Custom Shapes directory) and there was the Hexagon Frame that was needed to complete the action. After that, it did everything else itself. Ta Da! :)
