PIPELINE ministry is located in Santa Cruz, CA. Santa Cruz is predominantly a surf/beach community located in Northern California.

We're looking for a very brand-able logo that can be used on business cards, websites, posters, t-shirts, etc.

We're looking for something that will appeal to teenagers, ages 14-18.

This logo would carry with it the idea of a wave or surfboard incorporated with the text "PIPELINE". Although the logo should be edgy, it should not be too complicated. Below are links of various logos and designs to give you an idea of the feel we are looking for.

Colors initially should be vibrant, however that can always be changed later by us.

take a look at the billabong logo in the link in my intial post.

There's an image of a wave on that page. Something a little more distorted. A more aggressive logo is what i would like to see. Maybe a slant to the word pipleline. Sharper edging...less rounded.

Thanks for the initial submission.

After watching that "Sari" video I was inspired to do this.

The lettering on this one is great (version 4).

I still would like to see some change to the wave itself.

Look at this attachment.

I'd like to the words and the wave image work together in this layout. I'd also like to see the wave a little sharper and aggressive like this one.

SYVEE:

I really love the fluidity of the logo. However, as I've shown it to a few around here they can't get passed that the imagery seems to represent the letter "C". If you could tweak it somehow so this wasn't true.

Also, I like the lettering and two-tone. But if you could make the transitions between the two colors go straight across in one straight line, rather than the wave effect.

BLUE CHERRY GRAPHICS:

I really like some of what you've done here. Can you incorporate the font in version 1 with the logo in version 3.

Also, could you try removing the box from around the wave and have the word "pipeline" start inside the crest of the wave. This would entail making the wave a little bigger obviously.

Something like this (forgive the atrocity of this sketch):

OFFBEAT:

I like version 6 A LOT. Can you make it pop a little more somehow? Perhaps a VERY thin border around the logo and/or wave.

I'm not really sure...you may know better than I.

GIANT:

I really like what you've done here, as well.

Can you experiment with a few different layouts? Sitting "pipeline" in the crest of the wave like I mentioned above.

Or side-by-side. See what you can come up with.

LIke the logo...like the font (version 2)

BLUECHERRY:

Love version 5. Everyone here loves it.

Let's talk color schemes:

1) Can you experiment with a few different one's that include blues.

2). Try one a little more radical for us. We've attached a similar color scheme we would like to see. The entirety of the design would be on a black background. The section of the wave that is currently purple...would be white. The section of the wave that is currently white (because of the white background) would now be black (because of the new black background). The section of the wave that is currently red, would now be a deep blue...similar to the image I've attached. The word pipeline...would be white.

GREAT work.

SKYVEE:

You hit it on the head with the logo and color scheme (Version_02). Don't change a thing.

Can you experiment with a few different fonts? Take a look at various Surf clothing companies to get some ideas.

Not to say we don't like this font. In fact, we like it a lot. We just want to see this design up against a few different font styles.

Alvin & OFFBEAT,

Can you guys do a font similar to the attached one here? This is my old ministry. Had the logo designed on here, as well.

Alvin, do this keeping a similar style of font to version_02, however imitating the pattern inside.

OFFBEAT, do this keeping a similar style of font to your most recent entry.

PS:

Great job guys. This is some awesome stuff.

ALVIN,

We still keep going back to version_02 as our favorite.

Our plan is to put this on an all black business card (like what I've attached).

Seeing as the bottom half of the lettering all black, we'd like to see what subtlety you can create to make the lower half of the words stick out. Someone here mentioned a white border around the words, but we feel that might be a little cheesy.

If you look at the "circle" that our old logo is inside (attached here), it is black, as well. Yet, the artist here was able to make it stand out somehow.

Give it a shot.

Here we go... :)

Do you have a more deeper/vivid black as a background?

Like the Axis logo I attached earlier.

Thanks.

Thank you all so much for your entries. It's been great. So many good things came from this process.

However, there can only be one winner. I want to congratulate SYVEE (Alvin) on winning for his entry.

Alvin,

See you in the revisions forum.

Alvin,

Version_10-C is the winner.

If you wouldn't mind preparing a broad download package for us. Please click on the link below. If you could replicate the same package that was prepared for us on our last logo....that would be awesome.

http://web.mac.com/allencoleman/Site/LOGO.html

Based on what you see on this link, there should be a total of 16 files or so.

Thanks!
