The name of the Company is Arctic Chill. We design and sell a product called Chilling Filters. The filters cause air conditioning systems to operate from 20% to 40% more effecient. This causes them to cool faster and gives the system a longer life.

Recently DesignOutpost designed a logo for another distributer and did a great job. So I'm returning with this distributer for a new logo and some different Sketches of a Character to be used on brochures and other promotional material.

Here is what we need:

A logo incorporating the name with the mascot which will be a penguin. Put him on an ice cube, put him on an igloo, (those are just ideas) Let your mind run wild and give me some cool stuff.

Also some different drawings of the penguin in other poses for placement on promotional materials. Most likely the winner will get more business by drawing even more poses in the future. I will need at least 3 more poses right now.

This project will close on Saturday if not sooner if someone nails it.

Hello,
I have every intention of entering this competition, but probably won't be able to until later this evening.
I'll post my ideas then.

I would prefer a different font on name. Overall I like the penguin however I would prefer that he not to be controlled by the arctic chill rather controlling the arctic chill. Make him a little cooler (as in Author Fonzerella cool not an iceburg).

Great start.

Just a rough sketch... again, I'm @ work.
I'll just keep on thinking "Fonzie", "Ayyyyy", and "Sit on it",
maybe he'll take better form in my head by the time I get home.

I'm back - I've been out of it all day long. My favorite so far has to come from 2square, I like that little guy. Your right the font and border need some work. Don't feel like you guy's have to stick with the ice cube (that was my idea - but you guy's are the designers). cre8tor - I'll have to see some more of your finished work - I'm amazed by how fast you are able to get things done. Excelent! I'm excited with what I see so far.

Hi again, Stacy,
I figured if you're going to have a Penguin promote your product,
he should be an Emperor Penguin, on a throne of ice.

Please advise,
Thanks,
-Kimber

Thanks, I was thinking I could have him sitting against a Chilling Filter so if you have a photo or could point to somewhere I will be able to get one.

Cheers

BTW It's going to be a tough battle, the Illustrators are out in force (well some)

Hi,

Here is my penguen character and logo;

<img src='http://www.mehmetsaygin.com/do/arctic1.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

And here is how you can use them on paper;

<img src='http://www.mehmetsaygin.com/do/arctic2.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

I also have an animated version of the first logo but I am not sure if designers are allowed to add animated pieces and how?

If we are allowed to do and you are interested, I can add an url for animated logo.Since I post the url in this thread, I don't think it will be a problem but it is good to get mod's permission first ;)

Best,

Michael

Because it's not a requirement of the contest holder, it won't be included as one of the files you provide if chosen as the winner. I wouldn't want to give anyone's entry more advantage over someone elses because they are provided something above and beyond what was asked for. The client would have to work out something with you regarding paying extra for your animation.

I do not see any problem with putting a link to it so we can see the animation though. I'm sure it will be entertaining. :)

Palmer, I see what you mean about unrequired extras and their advantages, you are right.So, that will not be in the package :D
I just put those horizontal lines as slippery ice and thought it would be funny if that is animated.Here it is;
