Hello everyone. I've been investigating here for awhile and see many talented designers. I'd love for you to help create a logo for my new pet sitting business.

The name of the company is Romping Paws Pet Sitting Service. We perform dog walking and in-home pet sitting services, etc. The logo for “Romping Paws” should be playful, and definitely indicate happy pets, who get to play when their owners are away. “Romping Paws” should be the prominent font and possibly “Pet Sitting Service” should be in smaller print, underneath. I don't want "cutesy" but it should be cute. See the link to a logo below. I'm not creative like you guys are, I'm just trying to give you something to play with, by no means is this set in stone!

Some ideas:

Possibly incorporate a cute brown dog with leash in mouth, can’t wait to go for a walk, paw up in the air or looks like he’s ready to “prance.” Or maybe a big dog and a smaller dog of a different variety, but dogs who can’t wait to be playful and go for a walk or are happy to see someone. Maybe a larger brown dog and a little rat terrier spotted black and white. I have wire-haired dachshunds who look like “benji” dogs, I like that look, too. Scuffy pets. I love hound dogs, too (bassets, beagles). Possibly the second dog could have a cute toy in it's mouth if it isn't too busy.

Furthering the theme that animals are “romping”, a cat pawing at a toy. I don’t want a fancy (cursive-ey) font. I like fatter fonts that feel more rounded and “cute.” Possibly a tasteful paw print someplace. The dog theme should be prominent and the cat should signify we also care for them, as we specialilze in dogs.

See the font in the logo in the following link:

http://www.noahsbarkddc.com/

I really like this logo for several reasons. I am not in the dog daycare business but it’s the “feel” of the logo that fits. I see the logo and I feel warm and fuzzy about somebody caring for my pet. The colors are warm. I smile when I see it on the side of a van that might be taking my pet somewhere. It is adorable on a business card. I like the subdued, multi-colors. I really like the way it would appear to blend in with many color schemes, on a website or a vehicle. Possibly add a little muted green as hints of grass under a dog. My backgrounds colors on my website will probably be similar to this but the blue possibly should be a little more subdued.

I also like the feeling of the central object, “the ark”, because it makes the picture feel warm. I obviously don’t want an Ark but I like the “filled in” look of the logo. I like how “fat” it feels because it’s a colored in picture and not just lettering. I’m not sure what that central object would be in my case – something signifying the pet is at home and playing outside or walking in a park but not to indicate it is a boarding kennel.

Thanks in advance for all of your help and your creative talent!

Hello again folks. I'm wondering if anybody is potentially interested in designing my logo or if anybody needs additional information. I just can't wait to see some of your designs! Please let me know if there is anything else needed or if there is anything wrong with the way I have presented my project that might prevent anyone from moving forward. I'll look forward to seeing some designs soon!

Thanks!

Oh my, what great logos!! You guys are absolutely amazing!

First, I’ve been working on a web site template, and it is rough, but you will get the idea for the colors here: www.rompingpaws.com. I might change the colors a little bit and the whole template design but I really like the two tone blue and it is the basic color scheme I plan to work with.

I had envisioned the logo going in the area where the picture of my dog is. Again it is really rough and nothing here is set in stone, and I can certainly make the area bigger, change colors, etc., but I thought this might help.

Thank you Artemii, for such a nice design. I really like the brown color you have chosen. The green does not really match the color scheme I had in mind, but that is the color of a hint of grass I thought might be possible to work in. I would just like for it to be a little more colorful and playful.

I really like how you have tried to capture my idea of a “central image” but this might be a little too corporate looking. I would like to see at least a cat in it, and possibly a goldfish. I like the “font” in “romping” but could it be more playful and sort of “romp” itself? I also like leash in the dog’s mouth. I am really looking for cute, happy pets and this one doesn’t have an expression or a face, again maybe a little too corporate. Also, I would like to see “Pet Sitting Service capitalized and in a smaller font. I’m not sure I like the mixed fonts, I really liked the font in the logo I referred to above. If you could just make it a little more playful and change the color scheme, it might work very well. Thanks again for all of your effort and being the first one to respond!

Deanna, this logo is absolutely adorable. You have totally captured the concept of what I wanted to see – the feeling of “playful.” I love the dog, and that he is “romping” over the text and that his Frisbee is dotting the “i.” I would like to see him have a little more expression in his eye area, though - he looks like he doesn’t have a pupil or that his eye is rolling up in his head.

The font is more what I was looking for, “chunky” and fat, but I’m not sure I’m crazy about this particular one. The M and the W and the I look odd. The edges are maybe just a little too “sharp.” I love the way you have the font “romping” and playful but is it possible to see this with some alternative but similar fonts?

The cat and the Frisbee may be a little too “orange” for me. Is it possible to see it more of a gold or dark yellow, similar to the logo I referred to above? I also don’t care for the orange in the dog’s collar. I guess I’m just not an orange person!

Could you possible work “Pet Sitting Service” in a smaller font in at the bottom? Possibly in black but whatever you think will look good. Also, I possibly would like to see a little goldfish bowl worked in. The cat looks a little “bullyish” to me and I’m not sure I like the joint in his left paw. I’m also not sure I’m crazy about the big ball but it could work. If the cat could look a little more playful and “softer” I think that would be great.

Deanna, your design totally grabs my concept and I am really excited to see some revisions!

Thank you so much to both of you!

Hi Deanna, a few more minor details. Could you move the dog up so that his paw isn't quite touching the logo, and there is a hair of white space in between his paw and the text? And possibly change his collar to red?

Hello Deanna. Wow, you are speedy! I really appreciate all of the different versions you have posted! I work during the day so will only be able to respond in the evenings until this weekend.

In version 5, I really like the touches of red. Thanks for moving the dog, too, he is perfect and so adorable! I also like the blue line from the frisbee better. Is it possible to change the color of the word "Paws" back to the brown as in version 1? And then possibly make the cat a darker gold color? Also, could you possibly try "Pet Sitting Service" in black to see how that looks? I'm thinking it might stand out a little better, also possibly if the dog's nose (and possibly the eyes on both pets) was black to match. I apologize for all of the color changes but it's difficult to tell unless you see them all put together.

The only thing I am really struggling with is the cat. He sort of looks like he is holding a ball down on the floor instead of playing with it. Would it be too difficult to make him appear like he's playing? I do like the way the ball of yarn unravels under the bottom of the logo. The font is better but I might surf for fonts when I have time in case I find one I like better. I liked the playfulness of the font in your first version, I just thought some of the letters looked odd.

Also, I might still be considering a goldfish worked in somehow if it's not too busy.

Thanks again so much for all of your efforts. You do great work!

Hi Deanna, wow, thank you! Let's work with Version 8. I love the font. I think the goldfish and the cat might be sitting too close to the font, like we moved the dog to add a hair of white space. The cat might also need to come down just a hair from the top.

The fish bowl is great but it is too big maybe. I wonder what it would look like if it had subtle light blue water in the bottom and it was smaller so it doesn't look so clear. Also, I love the cat. It is much better. I guess he just looks so yellow, if he were texturized just a little, with brown he might blend in a little better.

I really love this logo Deanna. Thank you.

Hi, a few more things. Could Pet Sitting Service be in bold print? Also, the "corkscrew" tail on the cat, could it be softened a little? He just looks a little too "bony" to me and not pampered.

Also, where we moved the dog up, over the O, it looks like the color is bleeding a little bit.

Hi Titania. Thanks for your wonderful effort on my logo. I love the dog and how sophisticated and soft your pets look, however he doesn't appear to be "romping" and the logo doesn't quite capture the concept I'm looking for, the dog really needs to be having more fun! I absolutely adore how you tried to work in the little rat terrier, because that is a dog that was near and dear to my heart. He actually in reality has black spots, and his ears are more black and pointed and huge. He looks like a "bat" terrier!" You really read my project and thank you so much. I will evaluate it further in the a.m.

Hi Deanna. Thanks so much for the variety! I guess at this point the only thing that has been a problem is the cat. My husband and I just don't like the cat. It doesn't matter how you dress him up. His paws look odd, he needs to be more fluffy, the body shape insinuates he is not well cared for. Is it possible to drop in a totally new cat, maybe with some fur, that doesn't look bony? I know you're trying to match the caricature with the dog, but it just doesn't seem to fit and he needs to look well nourished.

The fish bowl is really cute with the water in it. Thank you! It is just still way too big and needs to be more of an after thought. I don't think there's much money in the fish sitting business :)

Also, thanks for putting Pet Sitting Service in bold. Now it is a little too much maybe and the font needs to be smaller. Could you possibly try to look at the font in the competitive logo I listed in my project? I just thought it was really cute.

Thank you so much!

Hi Deanna, just a few more details I see this morning. I really liked the way you had the font in "Romping" more, well romping in the first several font versions. This one looks straight across and doesn't look as playful.

Also, I liked the detail in the ball of yarn better in version 4. Also possibly the subdued color was better.

Also, I'm not 100% sure about the color of the frisbee. Maybe it will seem to "fit" better when the goldfish and bowl are smaller.

Thanks,

Amy

Hi again Deanna. We still really don't like the cat, he appears to be the same one in a different position, and I don't like his hind end up in the air like that. liked the gray color you had, though. And, he is way too big and too close to the font.

The goldfish is a better size, but maybe needs to be moved away from the font to the right and up a few hairs. Everything looks maybe a little crowded.

Also, now the ball of yarn doesn't match (my fault I know). And it looks too big (because the cat is). Maybe if the cat is gray, it will blend in better, but it looks like we are mixing pink and orange and again, we just don't love the cat, I'm sorry!

I love the "Pet Service Sitting font." And how you having the main font romping again!

Thank you!

Deanna, the fish bowl is so perfect!! I love the tilt, too!

I think I know how we can possibly come to a meeting of the minds about the cat! I'm sorry to take so much of your time and your efforts have been phenomenal.

We really liked the position of the cat in version 8a, we just really didn’t care for the bony cat. The latest cat (v 10) sort of looks a little like a squirrel to me. I like the action marks in v. 8a and I think it more signifies a cat playing and romping. If v. 8a can be gray, and more rounded and well nourished looking like your new, plumped up, improved cat in version 9, but smaller, and moved down so the action marks aren’t up in the font, it would match the style of the dog and it would be perfect with a few color tweakings on the frisbee, yarn, etc.

Thanks!

Much better. I like the cat's paws facing outward. Is it possible to see the cat in gold as in v9 (so sorry!) Also, could you move the ball down a hair in v11 and the gold version? Also, the red color justs looks so orangy to me, but it might work.

Hi Deanna. I guess we'll go with version 12. I'm just not mad about the cat, but we'll make him work. On his back feet, the paw pads don't appear to be in the same position on both feet. The left foot sort of looks like a club. If the paw pads could be in the same position on that foot or maybe make it less pointy, that would make it better. His left front paw also sort of looks like a human hand. I'm also not too fond of the shape of his tail.

The ball of yard looks like it could cleaned up just a tad. It looks like you can see through it at certain points.

At this point I definitely want to award the project to Deanna. I am disappointed that no other designers really cared or put forth much effort into my project, but I ended up with the most talented one at Design Outpost anyway. Thanks Deanna, you have been a real trooper and very responsive. I really love what you have come up with.

If these last few changes are ones that can be done in the revisions forum, then let's call it a wrap and move it over there.

Thanks again,

Amy

Hi Deanna, thanks for the two additional designs on the cat, but I guess I like version 12 better. The 12-ab cats look more like stray cats to me, their tails just don't fit. Also, the paw pads on the 12-ab are too prominent. I really think if you could take the v. 12 cat, and make the gray area above his top hind paw pad "less," and more rounded, to match the other hind paw, that will work. If his tail weren't so bony looking coming out of his body, that would make it better, too. I was looking for a fuller fluffier tail (well nourished looking cat).

Also the two round pawpads on the front paw might be just a tad (but not too much) large. The bottom left one looks like it's almost hanging off of his paw.

I appreciate your willingness to keep going but know you must be anxious to wrap this up. I'm just really not in love with this particular cat, I just can't describe what my problem is, it's just the whole cat I think and I don't think we'll ever get him right. Hopefully that these changes will make it better and we can finish things up!

Thanks again,
