What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Nirvana Wholesale

What type of product or service do you offer?
Jewellery Wholesale.

How long have you been in business?
7 Years

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
More professional look and feel to the website.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
24th October

Please describe your existing audience
Small jewellery retailers / Jewellery party organisers

What type of logo would you like?
Unsure. The key point is that the new logo MUST fit in with the current look and feel of our website. Please look at the website before working on any designs, as we do not want to change the colours or the design of the website. http://www.nirvanawholesale.com (http://www.nirvanawholesale.com/)

The Business name "Nirvana Wholesale" should be prominent in the logo, and we'd like any extra elements of the logo design to be placed to the left or right, rather than above the text. This is so that it will fit with the current website design.

When posting samples, can you adjust the size so that we get a feel for how it will look on the website, rather than posting extra large images. We want to see how it will really look on the website (scaled down), not how it looks twice the size.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
No. We're open to suggestions and colours, but please do look at our website, as whatever colours you choose must fit in with the existing website colour scheme - http://www.nirvanawholesale.com (http://www.nirvanawholesale.com/)

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
No

What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Professionalism

What is your tagline or slogan?
None

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
That we are professional and can be trusted

Where will your new logo be used?
Website, primarily.

What sets you apart from your competitors?
Price and quality of the goods we sell, as well as our extensive range. Customer service.

State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Customer focused.

Hi Giant,

Thanks for the early start. We weren't expecting a response for a couple of days yet. Could you try something a little wider? We'd like to see the two elements of the name side by side, rather than one on top of the other. And possibly introducing a little colour.

Nice start, though.

Hi Deanna,

I see you've got the colour scheme from the website down well. I like the broad structure of the piece, but I'd like to see some variations of the text. It's a little too straight and rigid. Also, I'm not that fond of the two 'loops' on the big N to the left.

What about combining the N of Nirvana with the large block N? Just a thought.

Giant, the new designs are looking very promising.

Version 2: We like the second of these 2, with the bolder navy colour. Would it possible to see it with a slightly smaller font size - say about 80-90%? Also, how about a couple of variations in the font used, just so we can see how they compare. We like the orange and green element, as it goes well with website colours.

Version 4: Again, the second and smaller of the two designs. We'd like to see a smaller version of the large N design here. The main font size of the text is a good enough size, but the large N is too big. Would it be possible to see some variations in colour for this design as well?

Thanks,
Darren.

Hi Freetime,

We like Version 3 (1st sample) and Version 4 very much. Would it be possible to see Version 4 with a larger font, and with a space between the 2 words?

Thanks for the feedback! I increased the font by 6 points. Let me know what you think. ;)

Freetime: After looking at the two side by side, I think your initial font size in version 4 is probably better. Could we look at version 4 as is, but with the space between the two words. Thanks.

Skyvee: That's a very interesting design - subtle too, as it took me a while to notice the W. Could you try increasing the size by about 20%, as it's just a little small. Also, could we see a couple of other colours to replace the red? We like the design itself, and a few more colour options will help us to decide. Thanks.

Freetime: That's fine, thanks. We think Version 4.2 is the best of your designs.

Skyvee: The size is right now. But can you try moving the reddish colour more towards the yellow. And would it be possible to see how it looks with a capital N and W in the text, rather than all lowercase? Thanks.

No problem! Here it is... :)

Thanks Skyvee. Version 01B is looking the best of your designs so far. Can we ask you to make one more change for us. Keeping the colours of Version_01-B, can you make it slighly smaller - about halfway between Version 01 and 01-B.

Thanks.

Skyvee: Thats perfect, thanks.

Giant: Thanks for all those changes. You've given us a lot of options.

We've had a number of very good designs, and a couple of them are certainly of good enough quality. As the original project was due to end on the 24th, we're going to hold off until Wednesday morning before making the final decision - this is to give everyone a fair chance to submit anything they've been working on. Giant, Skyvee, and Freetime: we're happy with the latest designs you've submitted, and we'll let you know our decision on Wednesday.

Thanks,
Darren

We'd like to thank everyone who submitted designs for us over the past week. It's been a tough decision, as we've seen many impressive logos. We've decided to go with Skyvee's designs, as we feel they best suit our needs at the moment.

Skyvee: The best design was Version_01-B2. Of the two designs in this version, the colour scheme used in the first is the one we'd like to use. You've shown us 3 separate sizes for this overall design (versions 01, 01-B and 01-B2 ), and we'd like you to give us this design in all 3 sizes. Though we expect to use the size in Version_01-B2 on our website, we may need the other sizes at some point in the future. Also, if you could send us these logos as black and white as well.

Files: I'm not sure what imaging software you're using. We'd like all of the files as .png, as well as whatever local format you created the logos in (photoshop, etc.).

If you have any questions, pm me and I'll be happy to answer them.

Thanks
Darren
