Admin code added by Abby - 2MK557932E678414H

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
The site is: www.innerpoetry.com. The words Inner Poetry can be included, but aren't necessary.

What type of product or service do you offer? Personal/Spiritual growth coaching, classes, products, workshops

How long have you been in business? New site, but coach for 5 years - old site: www.invisionlife.com

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Help guide people to realization of their highest self and greatest potential

What are your long term goals? multi-faceted. For this endeavor...grow coaching/facilitator business.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? October 24

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience: former clients, students, warm market

Who would you like to add to your audience?
anyone. Especially women 30-55 working through life transitions or seeking change and growth
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like? the image in my head is the lotus flower, very zen, not fussy. One idea was a lotus floating in a wooden bowl of water, but I'm open.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?) Again, very zen - clean, simple. White, blue, green - soft shades but not pastels. I have an image I bought but it is too large to attach. Though the photo need not be part of the logo, it has the whole feel I want and can be seen at istockphoto.com: #3786723 http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup/object/3786723_hi_key_lotus.php?id=3786723

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
lotus...maybe if not the bowl idea...someone - a simple figure - seated in meditation holding a lotus flower. Open to ideas. Something simple though, and pretty.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? Inspiring, growing, feminine but strong, clear. Not trendy or woo-woo.

What is your tagline or slogan? Unsure.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? You contain within you a wisdom and purpose meant to be shared - your inner poetry. Your work is to become that poetry in motion. My work is to guide you in the art of revealing, reading and sharing that poetry.

Where will your new logo be used? Web site, cards maybe

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos? All coaches and personal growth facilitators. I like the logo on myss.com

List competitive URLs if possible
myss.com; debbieford.com; lorihamann.com; cherylrichardson.com
What sets you apart from your competitors?
unique framework, fusion of theory, mythic and meditative knowledge and "voice"
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
revelatory. In service to the revelation of highest consciousness.

I'm SO excited to see some ideas - thank you Artemii - I greatly appreciate the work you've done. I definitely like version 4.0 best...it goes with my suggestion for the lotus flower. I would like to see if there's a way to incorporate the words Inner Poetry into the image - is that possible? Maybe like they're coming from the center of the flower. I also suggested some colors - white, green, blue...soft (if you check out the image on istock I mentioned above it has what I'm looking for. Also, again, if it's possible, I'd love to see if there's a way to have a very simple image of a woman in meditation with a lotus in her lap (check out www.myss.com - not the figure I want or the colors, but I like the simplicity of the figure - but don't know what a meditating woman would look like with those kind of simple lines.)

Anyway, I love seeing ideas and really appreciate the work going into them.

Gratefully...

ohh...just had an idea...not sure how it would look, but a flame coming from the lotus flower with the words in it. Again, though, simple somehow and with the softer colors. The site is going to be very zen with a lot of white space I think...

Thnks for the feedback! Here's another version and I'm working on your suggestions :)

Thank you again Artemii, interesting. I do like it, though the figure is a little...thick, not sure that makes sense. Also, the colors are still not right. I realized I've put a pic of the flower on the site as a holder...www.innerpoetry.com. those are the colors I like.

I'd love to see some other suggestions!

Another one... Tried to incorporate words into the image :) Working on another one.

Again, thank you for the work. There are aspects I like though the overall image is not there. I like the idea of the figure inside the lotus flower (v5), but the figure in v.6 is better. Still, neither is "it." The font needs to be more...poetic I guess. Feminine. Not stiff or sharp.

I need to think some more about the right words to explain what I'm looking for...simple, artistic, fluid, feminine...a balance between movement and stillness. I'd be open to less developed figures too (as the one at www.myss.com and even the one on my old site: www.invisionlife.com).

Again, thank you for the work. I look forward to getting more ideas.

Hi. Here is an idea from me. Comments welcomed :)

Hi Jeff,
Thanks! There is much I like - the hand drawn simple quality of the picture and the font is nice. The words actually bigger than I want - I'd prefre the pic to have greater play than the words. The colors are soft, but a little too much so. The ones in the pic on www.innerpoetry.com are soft, but, I hate to say...bold too - at least easily seen. I'm still curious to see if the words can somehow be incorporated into the actual image, as though coming from the flower's center. I'd also love to see a figure drawn in the same lines of the flower you did, if that's possible...a feminine fig in meditation holding a lotus in her lap? I'm sure my ideas are much easier to think up than to do : ) I do hope you'll post again. Thanks!

the lotus flower, very zen, not fussy, in a clean and simple style :)

Thank you Djaka,
Very pretty. I am looking for something that is less a sign and more a symbol of the site's and my work's meaning. The colors are good. I would like the image itself to be more central than the words, and perhaps the words to be incorporated into the picture, as coming from the center of the flower.

I appreciate the work! I hope you'll post again.

Thank you for the designs - again and always I appreciate the time, thought and work put into each one.

Artemii, thank you for using the flower and working to incorporate the words into it. The font makes me think of a Chinese restaurant, so not quite what I'm looking for.

I'm just wanting something that captures the essence of inner poetry more...meaning - something that shows wisdom and purpose emanating from center, and that suggests the journey toward enlightenment. My husband suggested a figure in meditation with something coming from the heart area and the words inner poetry in that space.

I'll work more on ways to define my vision.
Thank you again.

Thank you for the newest designs.

Artemii and Jeff, I appreciate the latest posts...the figures are still too masculine. Jeff, the blue is good, but I would like some green and white in there too...I still go back to the picture on innerpoetry.com.

I've attached a sketch I did - the vision that has come as a way to put the flower and figure together. I'm no artist, I realize. I just tried to sketch the outline of the flower picture and show how feminine I want the image, and even how non-defined otherwise.

I hope I can get new ideas from any and all interested. Thanks so much.

Thank you for the latest posts. I really appreciate all the work. The figures given aren't working though. I'm not really interested in a clip-art type of thing and with the woman I'm looking for spiritual, not sexy. And she needs to look like she's reaching/praying with her hands, not dancing. I don't know if it's possible, but if my actual sketch could just be cleaned up, that might work...just as it is, or with her even a little less defined, as though the figure is rising but not perfectly clear, the hint of a woman's shape rather than an actual shape. I don't know if any of that's even possible. Otherwise, I may need to just go back to the simple single lotus, maybe floating in water in a bowl, or by itself.

Thanks again.

Hi. Based on your sketch :)

invision1
10-28-2007, 08:30 AM
Hi Jeff,
Thanks. I'm not quite sure about anything at this point. But I'd like to see the flower without the figure (the fig is a little small, proportionally and when cleaned up looks like a martian, I realize - I was hoping for something a little more free-flowing, like the flower lines, but thank you for doing just what I asked). I'm not crazy about the font and don't know about the placement of the words without the figure. So, if you could try the flower with a variety of fonts and word placements, I'd appreciate it. oh, and try the stem color, that's now brown, in green. Thanks.

10-28-2007, 08:31 AM
Jeff, again, you may need to finish out some lines on the flower or add some of the little stems that go in the center, once the figure is gone - not sure what it will look like.
Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. Here are some font examples. I finished out the flower and 2 of them have the stems in. Also, the stem is green already - let me know if you'd like it to be brighter. :)

Thanks much Jeff, I'm thinking about it...these are potentials.

Anyone, one more attempt on the figure...? The flower with a flame that hints of a woman's shape coming from it (not clip-art but free form figure)?
Jeff, if you can try it with this flower, that'd be great.

Jeff, I'm going to ask one more thing - on your version 1 could you just darken the flower and use the text font and sizes from V.4 i & vi - I'd just like to see what that looks like. Thanks. (maybe use colors from V4).

Thank you Dewa Jaya, I really like this, just a couple things I'd like to see in different versions - first, the flower, though I like it, does look a little more like a plant than a flower - maybe a few too many leaves...I'm not sure. I'd also love to see it in some other colors - softer blue, violet and another green? Maybe some faint shading in the woman? And some different fonts (in different colors) with the text in different positions (like on either side of the woman) and different sizes? Again, though, thank you. I really do like this direction.

Thank you Artemii. The words are too large...and as much as I love the flower on my site, I don't really want to use an exact print of it. I'm looking for something more free form and flowing. But thank you for the continued work.

Thank you Jeff, I do like this flower...I'm still thinking and considering all directions.

Hi Deanna,
Thanks - I like a lot about both versions. One thing I'm not crazy about is pink - I prefer blue, violet, green and even white, and no pastel versions of those colors. I like soft, but more like you find on the website photo: www.innerpoetry.com. If you could work with the colors and some other fonts, that would be great - the font used in the first is a little too swirly and the text a little too big. And if there's any way you could soften the head and arms of the woman figure, that'd be great - I'm not sure what I'm struggling with, but there's a mannequin-ish quality - a little stiff. But overall, these are good possibilities to consider. Thank you.

Dewa Jaya, thank you. i'm really liking this form. A couple more requests...the flower still looks a little like a fern, though I like it much better. Also, I apologize - when I said shading the figure I didn't mean to make her lighter - I want her as dark as the flower, but to see what it looked like if she had a little light coloring inside her. Looking at it now, I'd like to see four more color versions:
1. the shape from the latest in version 1 color.
2. The flower, in v.1 green, lightly colored in and the figure in a darker purple.
3. The shape as it is in a little darker purple.
4 and in a darker blue.

Deanna,
I'd like to concentrate on your second version, with the woman. I'm not crazy about the blue and purple. As I said to Dewa - maybe deep is better than soft...right now they're a little too bright. But overall, I do like this. Thank you.

Thank you to all who took part in my project. I have appreciated every effort. I've decided to go with Giant's logo because it most matches the feel I've been seeking. There were many great choices to pick from but it has to come down to one. So, thank you all.

Giant, I love the direction we're going. I will want to see a couple more color choices, but overall know this is the design I want.
Thank you for everything.

Hi Giant,
I'd like to focus on version 4 right now (I haven't mad a final choice for version, just that your overall design was my choice). I'd love to see the blue flower with a green figure and then purple figure, and a purple figure with a blue and green figure. And if it's possible for you to go to innerpoetry.com (my site) and try a version with the blue that is in the wide borders at the top and bottom of the page, that would be great.
I hope this isn't too much to ask in the revision stage.

Thanks!
