Just realised that while final artwork is due 2nd Nov, that's Aust time. This means 1st Nov for many of you! Please hurry as we'll be making a decision in about 24 hours!

Hi Guys,

We've committed to some print advertising and want to get the most out of it! Looking at a half page ad in a magazine - 120mm deep x 176mm wide.

What we are looking to do is attract potential new car buyers - mainly individuals.

The mag in question is mainstream automotive related with a slight male readership bias and ages are below (so an older demographic mainly)

18-24 - 4.1%
25-34 - 10.4%
35-49 - 28.1%
50+ - 56.1%

Our company www.privatefleet.com.au offers a car buying service to people who don't want to haggle with dealers and spend their weekends trudging around car yards. We also use our buying power to save people money.

We save them time, money & hassle with their new car purchases.

Maybe you might play on the reputation of 'dodgy dealers' or push the $$$ savings available. Maybe it's all about saving time & the convenience. We want to convey professionalism, trustworthy, and value.

Calls to action for either the website of phone number are great.

Any questions, let me know!

Thanks

David

I have decided to play off the golf theme to target the older audience as inidcated by the demographic you are looking to hit. By using the headline "You worry about how to drive. Let us worry about what to drive." I am using the approach you suggested earlier by letting the customer know they can spend their time driving golf balls, while privatefleet handles the car buying experience for them. The small white car used (analgous to a golf ball) illustrates that privatefleet can provide what the client is looking to drive.

If you can provide your logo in high res and or vector format that would be great. I can then place it and show you the ad with the logo.

David emailed me the logo here is a link to the logo if anyone needs it. I uploaded it to my ftp since I am not sure how else to link it here.

David, here is the ad with the logo in place.

Thanks Shima,

It's a clever idea and golf is a great fit. Think it maybe needs something to make it stand out a little more? Perhaps a bit of colour? Also think our logo & contact details need to stand out a bit more.

Could you try using a different car as well? Whilst the mini is small it probably doesn't match the demographic as well as a 4 door sedan for example. Or maybe going for broke and putting a red ferrari or something might work?

Thanks again - great effort! Look forward to seeing a revision if that's OK

Anyone else any ideas?

Hi Shima,

Can you bulk up the font of the contact details and logo a little more please? Also I think italics for the words "how" and "what".

thanks again

David

Attached is a little larger low res with the changes. The other option for the logo is to make it all white but I think it looks better in color as is. I have also put a shadow behind it for it to pop out a bit more.

Thanks

Thanks Shima - we have a winner! Will PM details shortly.

Thanks also Gig - those were some great ideas. Maybe not quite hitting the target market as closely in this instance but very good nonetheless so thank you.
