Want a redesigned logo to reflect a more corporate and modern look.

Current logo can be viewed at http://smbconsultinginc.com

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
SMB Consulting

What type of product or service do you offer?
We are a sales and marketing consulting firm offering sales and marketing integration services which may include: search engine optimization, sales coaching, sales training, marketing message development, etc.

How long have you been in business?
We started in 2005; 2 years

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
A more modernized look

What are your long term goals?
To grow the company to $100M in sales by 2013

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
December 14, 2007

Audience Profile:
Businesses looking to increase their revenues by better attracting their most desired target audience

Who would you like to add to your audience?
Would like to attract larger corporations

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Modern/Contemporary look and feel;

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Green has been the company color all along; website uses green extensively; silver is the alternate color and some yellow has been used; phasing out the yellow

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Anything is fair game. NOTE: this requirement change is not reflected in the attached documents.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
We are a visionary outfit; we also help our clients achieve clarity so those two attributes would (ideally) be reflected in our logo somehow.

What is your tagline or slogan?
Better Attract Your Target Audience

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
We’ll help you find, attract, and connect with your most desired target audience.

Where will your new logo be used?
Marketing collateral
Website
Business literature

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
See URLs below; there isn’t one particular logo that “speaks” to me amongst the competitors listed

List competitive URLs if possible
Copernicusmarketing.com
Emergemarketing.com
Stelzner.com
Customercentric.com
Cubemanagement.com
Corecubed.com

What sets you apart from your competitors?
We partner with our clients to educate them as we progress; we align sales and marketing to the company’s mission to eliminate silos and finger pointing between the departments; our clients become our friends as we progress and we are looked at more as trusted advisors

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Better Attract Your Target Audience Marketing Consulting (http://smbconsultinginc.com)

Since no-one has replied to the request for a new logo, we've extended the deadline in hopes that someone is willing to take on our project.

The new deadline for the logo redesign is December 14, 2007.

If someone could be kind enough to let me know what I need to do to increase the response rate on this request, I'd greatly appreciate it. :weep:

Hello & thank you.

I like what you've done with the Fleur de lis, but I'm not feeling the knight.

As an update, I'm no longer requesting the incorporation of either of those symbols--I'm looking for something modern or contemporary that also looks clean.

I appreciate the efforts of each of you. So far, nothing really grabs me.

Tini1--I like the color combinations, but the fleur looks distorted.

Logoholik--same as Tini; like the color combos, but the fleur doesn't look "crisp." On the one you did with the pyramid, could you incorporate the pyramid into the M by flipping it perhaps? Since we do sales and marketing, a flipped pyramid or funnel may be a good icon to incorporate. Can you run with that a little?

Thanks again for sharing your creativity. Please keep the ideas coming!

Ok guys, I have a vision that may lick this thing! Since one of the obstacles we help our clients overcome is sales and marketing misalignment, that often involves merging ideas and approaches.

Imagine a merge sign (like the common road sign) incorporated (and altered) as the left part of the M in SMB.

The entire logo would be engraved onto a green background on a shape much like you'd see on the merge sign. The top part of the arrow-head is gold like you see in NHR's design. The green background matches the pyramid in Logoholik's first design, and the core lettering is white. Think this can be done?

I hope this helps.

Here are some links to a few merge signs that could be altered to either form an "M" or meshed into the letter somehow:

WOW! I like the recent wave of submissions.

NHR--I like your version 3 quite a bit. That's sweet!

Xpressions--version one is more to my liking with the color to the left on the second row most preferable.

Thanks guys! Good stuff.

I like that! Can you make the gold more "gold" and make the sign appear to shine at the top? One last request--make the green a little darker so the shine pops.

Thanks Xpressions.

Freetime--love versions 2 & 3; hard to pick between them although the round one speaks to me more at this moment

Xpressions--version 4; can you shift the arrow and gold shading to the right side of the M just to see how that looks?

Logoholik--version 3

These are the ones I'm focusing on. I really appreciate your work thus far--this is fun.

Roger

I've made a decision--Freetime is the winner. Version #3 (message #21) captures our company, products, and services very well.

I want to thank each of you for submitting great work! This was a lot of fun, and I hope our paths cross again soon.
