What text should be included in the main part of the logo?

Audra's Photography. I am also willing to pay more if needed.
What type of product or service do you offer? photgraphy, weddings, kids, family smf seniors. My goal is to attract more kids and seniors.
How long have you been in business? one year

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity? attract upper end clients that appreciate the art of photography.

What are your long term goals? To make a name for myself and produce only high end work.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer? Don't know? I am purchasing a website from bludomain today and would like to have everythink up in 3 weeks.
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience - moms that love my work but are on a tight budget.
Who would you like to add to your audience? weathy clients

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like? elegant, unique, classy

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?) No, I am drawn to black and dark reds but I don't know if this will work. I am open in this area.


Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? I have designed my own logo which is ok. I liked it because I created it. I can post a pic if I figure out how.


Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? to me it is all about the relationship I build with my clients. I want parents to love bringing their kids to me.

What is your tagline or slogan? lifestyle portraits - just an idea. I am open.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? I want to build relationships with my clients. I want to capture real life. I am also a sucker for the eyes. I am really liking pictures where I can look into their eyes and see what they are thinking

Where will your new logo be used? website, blog, headers, stamp, Buisness card, watermarking.


Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
They seem simple and average, but some are nice. Out of these I think I like the last one.

What sets you apart from your competitors? I am more natural light and limited backdrops. I really want to get away from backdrops. I would like to use client homes and furniture that is why I need upper end clients.

Hey guys! Thanks for starting to brainstorm. This is exciting. I have been really trying to think "what do I want in a logo"? I looked at some sites last night and this is what I came up with.
-I really like the simplicity of black and white
-I love shades of red and most fall colors
-I want the color to accent the logo - so black and white with a touch of color.
-I like the A in Audra big and fancy- just an idea
-Muted colors are good too.
-stay away from corporate shapes.


So with this in mind I can now give you feedback on the logos you have created.

tini - Wow, a lot of color. Too much(?)! The more I look at it the more I like it grows on me. But I would like to see what other logos you can come up with with my new added info. Thanks

quetizo - It looks too simple. I am not liking the font choice. I like the stacking.

Bless - looks orange, stiff and corporate. Sorry, I am not liking this one at all. I like more flowy, sassy, ...

NHR - I am liking the first one. The font seems stiff and I would like a more classic red look.

tini - let me think about that one. Brown and orange? Much different than black and red.

Taldo #33 Fancy! It is missing something though. The photography needs to be brighter or black and then incorporate color in somewhere else.

tini - I am still attracted to your first one, but I do like the last one too.

Krishm - still not liking the font of the Audra or color. But I do love the Photography

I have lookedd around and was trying to think of things that I liked about other peoples logo's.

I like the box - kinda of like what some of you have already done. I also like when there are many different sizes of squares, various shades of color. I did my girls room in pink and then one wall I created different sizes of squares. Most of them had the same color and shade but then I threw in a couple of other shades and colors within.

I have also always liked lines under the name. Just a thought.

Tini, do you have any other variations for design 1? Maybe a different red? Horizontal instead of vertical? a touch of red? ...just some ideas.

Anyone - I am liking the colors of black and white with a little red. I am wanting to see something with a line in it. Maybe under Audra's and on top of photography. I like classy, sloppy, modern fonts.

tini.. version 1.6 lets try a different font for Audra's photography -and in your first one lets try a different font. - version 1.4, the a looks really big and fat. Do you have anything else?

Hello all.... I have decided I am bad at this. I have extended my deadline hoping to communicate with you better. You all are awesome! I see so much talent!

Expressions - 3.0 4.0 5.0 thank you for listening and making boxes. Not really what I had in mind. Maybe no boxes, but thanks for trying three.

Giant, Krishm, Taldo, NHR.... none of these are working for me. They seem very stiff. Think more italic font, sloppy and modern fonts.

tini... version 1.9 - too much red and I am not sure about that font.

offbeat.... your version 1 - I like the bottom black one but not the red one. version 2 - looks like a v. I like the idea of the name being larger and the text to the left. Can you do another variation.

Question - I really like black. is it possible to get a black logo with some transparent in it. On my website my back ground can be any color and I was thinking with transparent I could add a little color of whatever. I do like red, but I think a small amount of red is perfect. Or a small transparent section. Thanks. Please ask if I need to clarify.

wow... that was fast. I took my daughter to school and when I got back there were more disigns.

offbeat... I like the smaller version of the two with out red. I am wondering what a simple line would look like with fancy font.

offbeat... try a different A or make the name with a lower case a. It still seems too stiff.

tini... I will get you some samples of font. I am thinking the "photography" needs to be smaller

offbeat... wow you have been busy.. i am not liking that shape. Lets stick with box if you are going to do a shape. And version 7... good try on the s... but that is not working for me either.

I really like a simple logo, maybe thin font, I do like the concept of having a box with an A in it.

Hey Missy, I am sorry I should of told you some specifics before you did the revisions.

Go back to the very first post you gave. I would like to see this one with a black box, white Audra's Photography and a red a ( I would like to be able to change the a to any color, is this possible. what if it was clear that way it could come the same color as my back ground.

In the first one you posted I also like the one in the bottom center. For this one I would like the Audra's Photography in Black and the a either black, red or clear.

I like the Audra's Photography in simple font like you first posted.
2.for the words Audra's Photography I like them in black (will I need one in white too). I want the font simple like you started with.

I would like to see another one with the box to the left also. But again I want the Audra's Photography to be simple font and I want the words to be the same length. I am thinking black box with white a.

the file is a vector illustrator file, you can easily edit the colors...:)

I am confused. Why in c is the Audra's Photography in a box? I was ok with that font being black. I am really not liking that red, but I guess I can always change it, right.

So just to clarify if I wanted the box a mocha color I can easily do this?

If you have illustrator, you will be able to edit colors, here is a different red, box removed (on c)
