We need someone to create the design for a company notepad. Size of the notepad page is 4" x 4" inch.

These notepads will be distributed to various customers in the office equipment industry.

Files you will need:
Letterhead - http://www.printaudit.com/temp/Print_Audit_Letterhead.doc
White Logo - http://www.printaudit.com/images/Print_Audit_logo_white.eps
Black Logo - http://www.printaudit.com/images/Print_Audit_logo_black.eps

I would like the notepads to be similar to our company letterhead. Please leave enough room in the middle for users to write notes on the notepads. Please keep the design to 2 colors - keep shades of blue the same pms color.

Please put our logo on the notepad. It can either be similar to the letterhead, or try fading the black logo in the middle of the notepad so that users can still write on them.

Please put our website address and our phone numbers (both toll free and the 403-685-4932 number) somewhere on the notepad. You can either put them on the bottom similar to the letterhead, or try something different.

Somewhere on the notepad (either in the top or bottom blue bar), please put the following text: Print Audit in every deal!

Please extend the blue in the top bar to match the bottom bar.

With the bottom and top bar, could you please make it a bit similar to the letterhead design but not too exact. Feel free to play around with the border/edge effect (or keep the one you have now).

Instead of the logo faded in the background, try fading the words "Print Audit in every deal!" Try it as is, as well as in Caps.

Please try fading either the logo or the words "Print Audit in every deal" into the background.

Alternatura - stamp effect is cool. Please centre it more in the middle, but keep it on an angle.

With the blue bar edge design, can you please take out the last 3 faded bars, and fade the one a bit more that is next to the blue bar.

Please take out the 403-685-4932 number, and add in the following email address: sales@printaudit.com

Please keep the phone symbol beside the the phone number, and add an email symbol beside the email address. Maybe put a small space under the phone number and then put the email address line.

Please make the white logo on the top a bit bigger.

In regards to the edge design on the blue bars:
- it looks a bit off. I dont think its symetrical. Could you please fix that.
- please make it a bit more similar to the letterhead - where it drops down in the middle on both the top and bottom bars, make it a bit thicker.
- please change it to a light shade of grey.

Modified according to your directions, this is the "symmetrical" version of composition/elements positioning I would advise. However there's still additional option of symmetry (due to the "eye imperfection") which concerns vertical position of the "thicker" grey part. This will be posted in my next post.

Bigger logo, lighter gray, as you wanted.
Logo bigger then this (if wanted) would cause the moving of the "thicker" gray part to the left (to the right at the bottom) - which would be (more or less) V4

Could you please make the stamp image in the background slightly darker, but not too much.

Stamp - from 8% of spot blue to 10%
(this can still go darker and be OK to wright over it, depending which blue is going to be printed)

Gray - from 20% black to 15%
(there's two more step left for this to be lighter, say 12 and 7%,
seven is already "edgy" in terms of visibility)

BTW if you can provide your PANTONE colours I can implement them in the design

About the colours:
It's not really important what colous am I using (I'm just using some random blue similar to your letterhead and some percentage of black). Important is what you tell to the printer who will print this materials for you, as in: you would have to specify the colour you want to print once you go to the printing house.
I just wanted to make it easyer for you and to incoroporate it in the file (PANTONE scale).
But it is no problem you can do it either way, no worries

Here it is.
I did't change the stamp (that's what you wanted in the end, isn't it?)

Grey is turned into 10% of the blue (as the stamp) which is a good solution because you'll going to have to print just one coloure (I would still go a bit darker)

I made the phone/e-mail section bolder, and web site a bit biggrer, consequently

size is 4"x4" but he problem is that you depend on the monitor resolution to see it as it is, unless you print it (which, again, is not going to look good, because these files are heavily compreesed for internet use..)
