Need video productions/consulting logo created.

My company is involved with the following:

Corporate video, Event video, Weddings, Video Tours, Photo Montages, Documentaries, etc...

I am also heavily involved in video consulting, contract, and freelance work.

Theme for 2008 is High Definition video.

We are shooting, editing, and delivering in HD.

Logo will serve as theme for new website design.

What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Either DVP (short of Digital Video Productions) and/or Digital Video Productions, or a creative combination. I get called both things.

What type of product or service do you offer?
Videography services, shooting, editing, producing, weddings, corporate, documentaries, home tours, film auditions

I also do video consulting work with various groups such as MSP, working for clients such as CNN, Fox, and Weather Channel, Turner Sports, Leitch Technology

How long have you been in business?
6 years

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
For people to identify the logo with my company

What are your long term goals?
Growth, more video consulting for major clients, Producing corporate videos, growth of High Definition market, HD weddings

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
I would like a logo completed by the 27th of November if possible.

Audience Profile:

People seeking video services, businesses, wedding clients, real estate agents, people wanting photo montages, people needed video consulting services for their media outlet

Who would you like to add to your audience?

What type of logo would you like?
I like logos with a create image and the text of my company too

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Nuetral colors, classy colors - don't like cheese, need class

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
My current logo has film strips / film reels. That's an idea but based on the information above and involvement with various pieces of high tech equipment, the icons that could be used are several...

What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Professional

What is your tagline or slogan?
Still need a tagline - but I like something around what Apple had on their website one time - Shoot-Edit-Deliver HD.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
That they can trust me with their video project or consulting work.

Where will your new logo be used?
It will serve as the theme for the new website I'm creating

Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
A lot of my competitors logos are cheesy, I don't want that

Thanks for the logos so far, however, I'm looking for a less blocky, less computerized / digital look to the logo. I am also looking for nuetral colors, such as the one above from LogoHolik. It has potential from a color standpoint, just looking for more classical, upscale type of look.

Hey I like the color scheme, just not quite sold on the logo yet. I think you can get there though. Just don't want to look like all the other video type companies out there, or like a tv station call letters. Want a more business, classic look, professional type of image...........

I like the classic approach you have taken, need to work on color schemes and make sure this covers all the projects I do from weddings, business videos, home tours, and consulting for major companies. Need a polished, business minded, classic look, with neutral colors.

Logo looks great. The company name is Digital Video Productions with an s at the end.

Also, is there any way we can creatively get the letters DVP in there as well??
