children and wedding photography - I am a detail-oriented photographer who isn't a fan of fake backdrops or forced smiles. Natural, fun, candid photography. I work mainly in color.

to make myself stand out as a contemporary colorful fun photographer

to create a larger client base as well as a larger more diverse portfolio

Mainly women between the ages of 20-65 - brides, pregnant women, mothers, grandmothers

What type of logo would you like?
I would like a square base that could also be used in rectangle form. Something clean, crisp, fresh, modern, fun, simple yet bold, approachable.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
grey, olive green, robin's egg blue, white, navy - but I'm interested in branching out too...

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
I have a 50's style flower pattern in my head - nothing specific. Some thing Anthopologie-like. Or perhaps a play on LCP for Leah Charbonneau Photography?

What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
professional, approachable, modern

What is your tagline or slogan?
children . events . life - doesn't have to be used

Where will your new logo be used?
Website, business cards, postcards, on images as watermark, letterhead

Thank you all for your submissions. They are nice but not what I'm looking for. I think I wasn't as clear as I should have been in my description.

I'd like the logo to have a solid color for the back (perhaps gray?) with my name at the bottom (perhaps white?) and the design at the top with only one or two colors. I'd like the logo to be sort of abstract so it translates for both child and wedding photography. I like the patterns on the items below. Something along those lines might be nice.

HI! Wow! What a response!

message 13 is nice - Deanna, would you be able to put the whole logo in a box. Could you incorporate LC in with the design instead of having it in a separate box? perhaps using only one of the colors with dark gray and white?

love message 14 - Jennifer, would you be able to incorporate my full name and possibly do a slight variation of the design? It kind of looks like a tree to me. also instead of a light gray, could you use a dark gray ? I like the black and white version because it's so striking but I'd also like a little color too.

I like message 17 - tini1, could you use different font (perhaps one that 's all caps?) The design is interesting but not what I'm looking for.

Fran - version 4 is nice but the design is still not quite right. It's a little too masculine for me.

Taldo - I like the design but I'm not a fan of the font. I

Graphxguy - I'm not a fan of pink or the design but I like the layout and the font in version 1.2

Deanna - in version 3, LC seems to get lost in the detail. As much as I like the it, the design may be too detailed. Also not a fan of the font.

Blue Cherry Graphics - Did you have redesign you wanted to submit?

Taldo - I know I asked for different colors but I think I prefer the robin's egg better. I also like the white. Would you be able to do a rectangular shape too with the design on the left side?

Stephen - I like the design. I think Photography needs to be a little bolder. I like the black and white one because it stands out. Can I also see a different green? I like the olive-type color but not that shade. Also, would you be able to do a rectangular shape too with the design on the left side?

Requested revisions.

Keep in mind that it may be best for you to pick a Pantone color rather than try to decipher one from what I've specified in the artwork. Monitors differ, and are never spot-on as far as Pantone color interpretations.

Hi Deanna - Thanks, I didn't see those. I just looked on page one and liked how it was all in one square. Could I see it without the LC and just one design in the middle (instead of four little ones)? Thanks!

Hi Stephen - Can I see versions 2.1, 2.3, 2.5 with 1)a black background instead of gray and using patone color 575 2)a black background with grey design 3) a bigger version of the black and white version. Also, Photography looks a little fuzzy - is this because of its size for posting? Just wanted to check.

The word "photography" was grey (25% black) and so may have contributed to the fuzziness you mentioned. The compressed GIF file is more of a reason, but thought I would just make it completely white. If you want it back to the grey, that's easily done.

Stephen, your work is beautiful and I love it. In the informal polls that I've done, Carol's logo seemed stick in their heads and that's what I want in order to grow. I appreciate your hard work and patience with me! Truly beautiful!

Carol Taldo, Thank you for your submission. You're the winner! There are a couple of small changes that I'd like to have before I receive it. For the blue logo, could my name be in white? Also, could photography be in the same font as version 1 (all caps)? Also, would I be able to get the logo in both rectangle and square versions? I'd like to use them for different purposes (letterhead, business cards, website, etc) and I'm not sure if one size will fit all. Also, does the final product include the blue version and a black and white version? Thanks! and sorry for the 20 questions...
