[ProjectComplete] Due: ASAP, $500, program graphic and icons

First time user of DO.

Need to replace the graphic and some icons of the Image for Windows V2 software package. http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/downloads/ifw_en.zip

Need the following:
1) replace the .bmp graphic on the left (the one shown in the program (127x247) is from V1 and the dialog is now bigger so it needs to extend down the page (127x370)). The bmp should look okay in 256 color mode and be < 200K (the smaller the better).

2) Need a icons (ico files - 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 16/256/high color) for the following:

a) program icon
b) partitions (shown under the hard drives)
c) volumes (items within an extended partition)
d) cd/dvd general category

Hello,

The overall style is nice, however, I'm not sure what those objects (above/below the arrows) represent. If they were closer to looking like a hard drive or a mix of hd/cd/usb stick (or symbols that represent them) I think it would be better.

As far as the box next to Image for Windows and as the program graphic, they are a little plain. Looking for something with a little more character.

Objects represents hard drives (still in development phase), I had plan to add folder and CD/DVD next to bottom HD, to illustrate program functions...
...but symbols to represent them sounds like very good idea!!!

So, I can use real looking HD as a top image (or PC, actually this is what I am not sure: mybe is PC better association for users?) and symbols for folder, hd, cd as bottom images. Those symbols can be same as program icons?

For program icon: I went with simple image because translation to 16X16 size, but looks like too simple :)

I think you're correct, users would probably assoicate better with a computer. I'm not clear on your last question? But sounds like we're on the same page.

Yes, I like that better (the green/blue). There are also the partition/volume icons (I'm using that blue arrow now, just something better than that is needed and different between partitions and volumes (you'll only see volumes in the program if you have an extended partition)).

I'll make the final pick decision on Monday 12/10/2007.

I guess this is now where I ask for revisions ...

1) Can you look to making the "Image" and "for windows" a little larger with the icon next to it a little smaller.

2) Can you try moving the computer and arrows up and to the left a little so it looks more centered.
