Project Summary:
Logo and small icon needed for a website that specializes in silly/fun interactive 1 on 1 games. The concept of the site is to allow people to challenge each other to various "smackdowns" - simple pre-made challenges.

For example, the site will allows you to challenge a friend to a sword duel. In issuing a sword duel, you would choose a weapon from several provided choices (ie. a ninja sword). Your friend would then receive the challenge from you and would then choose a weapon of his/her own choice (ie. a fencing sword). The site will then choose a winner based on a predetermined hierarchy of weapons (ie. ninja sword beats fencing sword). There will be a variety of challenges like wrestling match, boxing match, kung fu fight, dance contest, etc.

What text should be included in the main part of the logo?

SmackDown! (i'm flexible as to whether there should be an exclamation point)

How long have you been in business?

Just launched

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?

December 27th though i am willing to extend if someone would like to submit but cannot make the deadline.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience

People looking for a fun/silly way to interact with each other

Who would you like to add to your audience?

All people though the younger demographic (18-35) may be most applicable.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?

Fun looking and attention grabbing yet simple, identifiable, something that conveys competition
The logo should incorporate an icon that should visualize a smack of some sort (could be a cartoonish star that looks like something was hit, or a hand that is smacking something, or even boxing gloves). In addition to being part of the logo, the icon will be used as a small stand alone button elsewhere in the site. I will need the icon separately as well.

Standard not flash

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)

You choose.

Something that looks sporty and competitive; avoid cold or industrial colors

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?

No.
Maybe something that incorporates undertones of sports or competition...maybe a ring (boxing). I'm looking for creativity and am flexible.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?

COMPETITION and BRAGGING RIGHTS

giant, i like elements of both your submissions. I like the logo of the first submission but like the lettering of the second submission. can you try integrating the two?

Hi. Thanks for your revision. I think having two explosions in the same logo is a bit much. Can you try integrating the gloves in another way? Maybe having them greyed out in the background? I leave it up to your creativity on how to best present. I'm also not sure if the red gloves work with the orange. Seems to clash a bit.

Hang onto the icon in case we do not come up with something better.

I have chosen to work with Giant.

Giant, so far, I am probably going to take the original you supplied with the gloves icon on a standalone basis.

I was wondering if you could try doing something that involved both gloves...something a little bit more symetrical too. Maybe in the background like i mentioned.
